Thank you for responding to our Call to Dress Sarah! 💜

We’re nearly there for tomorrow’s EVAS Awards…

👗 We have two dresses to choose from, both kindly borrowed
✨ We have discounted sparkle toes thanks to Ells Nails
💄 We have make-up with Boots on Fishergate
👠 We have bags and shoe options
🪑 We have our table number
🏨 And we even have a hotel room, thanks to lovely husbands!

We have just two little gaps left…

💇🏼‍♀️ We would LOVE an updo for Sarah, if anyone is able to offer an appointment at around 2.30pm tomorrow.

💅 And a simple nail file and buff would be amazing too — Sarah doesn’t like nail polish 🤷🏼‍♀️

We absolutely don’t expect anything for free, but we’d be really grateful for any offers or recommendations. Sarah is covering these expenses herself, so keeping the cost down where we can would be hugely appreciated.

It’s just 10 days until the EVAS where High Five has been nominated for a charity award!

We’re incredibly proud, and our little charity has already learned so much from the experience. Whatever happens on the night, we already feel like we’ve won. 🏆

But… we’d quite like Sarah to look fabulous while she’s representing High Five! 😂

We can’t in all conscience ask Sarah to go out and buy a new evening dress for one night, so we wondered if our High Five community might be able to help.

Do you have an evening dress you’d be happy to loan, sell or give? Maybe a fabulous bag hiding at the back of a cupboard? Shoes? Jewellery?

We’d LOVE to get some High Five colours in there too, a bit of purple, lime, orange, lilac or peach. 💜💚🧡

And we’ll be scouring the charity shops later in the week too. You guys know how we feel about recycling! ♻️

We’ve been representing High Five at She Chain Live today, networking, listening and learning alongside some inspiring women.

It feels natural, while surrounded by so many women building and developing organisations, to think about our own humble beginnings.

Over 12 years ago, we stood in a field at a car boot sale, hoping to raise £50 so we could book a soft play session.

There was no big plan. Just families and volunteers wanting to create opportunities for our children and being prepared to get stuck in.

We’ve come a long way.

But it’s still about creating opportunities, bringing families together and making things happen. 💜💚🧡
