We're sorry to have to tell you that our building contractor Manna Construction Group has gone into liquidation.

Work on our extension and refurb has therefore come to a complete halt.

The development group are working with the URC's North Western Synod to work out exactly what this means for the project and determine appropriate next steps.

It's a blow and will cause delays but we have most of our funds in tact and will carry on in due course.

Over the next couple of weeks you'll notice the site cabins leaving (but the toilet block is staying).

We'll post updates in due course but please rest assured that we are working hard to get things going again.

Tomorrow morning's service will be a special one as we mark the retirement of Rev Martin Whiffen.

If you're coming to the service please can we request that the limited space in our car park is left for blue badge holders or others with mobility difficulties.

Alternative parking is available in the neighbouring Council car park and other nearby Council car parks on Water Street and Friday Street.

Commissioned and installed by Chorley Heritage Centre Support Group and Chorley Council, ours commemorates Sir Walter Norman Haworth, Nobel Prize for Chemistry winner who attended Hollinshead Street School - the school buildings now make up The Hollinshead Centre

If you're visiting the Church or Centre over the next two days you'll need to use nearby Chorley Council car parks (don't forget to pay for your stay!)

Please note that there will be no access to the car park on Monday or Tuesday this week.

This is to allow contractors to install a new water main for the centre.
