Join Girls Who Walk Preston and Girls Who Walk Chorley on Monday 25 May at 6pm for a community walk through Avenham and Miller Parks in support of the Lancashire OPCC campaign against violence towards women and girls.

This walk is about more than just getting steps in - it’s about standing together, raising awareness of the safety concerns women and girls face every day, and showing that everyone deserves to feel safe outdoors, at any time of day.

We’d love to see members & leaders of Lancashire-based walking and running clubs, local organisations, and members of the public come together in solidarity and support. Attendees will also be able to learn more about the campaign, connect with local services, and pick up campaign merchandise and safety items on the day.

📍 Meeting Point: The Belvedere (Flagpole) in Avenham Park, Preston
📅 Monday 25 May
🕕 6:00pm

(Enter via Ribblesdale Place, turn left and head towards the flagpole - volunteers will be there to direct you.)

Children and well-behaved dogs are welcome, as always. In line with our usual activity, this walk is open to women and non-binary people only. Any queries can be directed to [email protected]

You can learn more about the campaign at GetTheMessage.uk 🌹
