Rory's box has been proudly displayed on the arms of the boys at Villa Gold since 2025
Rory's box was created by the Harty family in 2022, Noah is a player at Villa gold and Rory is his little brother
You may also see Rory's daddy on the sidelines in the coaching team ... Or hear him first!
At tournaments and big games you will see the Villa Gold Rory Tiger mascot, a well loved and very well worn member of the team, especially with the Villa Gold siblings!
In late 2021, Rory developed Leukemia and after a short 12 week diagnosis, devastatingly died at 2 years old. Rory's Box was created by the Harty's for all the children going into the sunflower rooms at derian house Chorley. A purpose built cold room for children to rest, before a funeral.
Since Rorys box was created every family who have used a sunflower room, has received a Rory's Box.
They contain all the items a family will need and want, in order to stay in the room for long periods of time, memory items and transitional items.
Rory's box being on the shirts of the boys is a reminder off all the important stuff, around football.
Its more than the game. It's family 🐯⚽
