Stakeford Nurseries is one of the innovative day services provided by Blyth Star Enterprises. We support people with learning disabilities and mental health issues in a friendly and relaxed horticultural setting, providing training, experience and meaningful activities in an environment which promotes independence, a healthier lifestyle and enhanced social interaction. Our clients are encouraged t

o get involved in areas of horticulture that interest them. From garden maintenance to growing fruit and vegetables, there is something on offer for everyone. The Nurseries is important to so many people, not just the service users, but the local community too. We provide mobile gardening services to the elderly and retail our produce locally. Our customers value the fact that they are supporting our charity and the work we do through their purchases.

WE are open to the public as normal on good Friday and Easter Monday, from 09:30 until 15:30.
Our summer season starts this weekend too and will be open every Saturday from 09:30 until 13:00.

Although Easter is early this year, we have plenty new stock in out retail area with lots more to follow. All tended for by our service users, with all profits going back into the Blyth Star Charity to help us to continue to give them all 'somewhere to live, somewhere to work and someone to care'
