An incredible day in Westminster! and joined 100+ repair cafe organisers from across the UK calling for more ambitious repair and reuse policies. Over 90 MPs came along, including our own , to support the Repair and Reuse Declaration and talk about repair and the circular economy. Inspiring to connect with organisers and , as well as our favourite repair-preneurs, and many other repair pioneers, volunteers, organisers and activists! 🔨 🥳 ⚒️ 🥳 🪚

Help us support Jit! Jit is one of our volunteer repairers at the Chiswick Repair Cafe, where he’s mostly busy fixing things on the Mechanicals table, which is sort of a lucky dip - he’s repaired all sorts of unusual items, from luggage handles to umbrellas, a Cromwell era belt buckle to a miniature library ladder from the 1800s, as well as countless picture frames, chair legs and vintage dolls. For his upcoming birthday he’s running an extreme marathon and raising money for Men’s Sheds. We couldn’t be prouder! If you’d like to support him too, please visit his Just Giving page below. Pat testing - this is Jill reminding the electrics team that all electric repairs need to be pat tested before they leave the event.
Pat testing has been slowing us down but it has to be done. If you’re into Pat testing and feel like volunteering your time once a month, we’d love to hear from you.
