Chipping Sodbury Town Trust would like to express our thanks James Kendall for all his help during his time as Club Chairman and we look forward to working with Jamie Wakefield.
📢 Club Announcement 📢
As announced in November, Jim Kendell has taken the decision to stand down from his duties as Club Chairman in order to prioritise his health and accommodate increasing professional commitments. During his tenure, particularly through the challenging post-COVID period, Jim’s steady leadership and dedication have been instrumental in consolidating the club’s progress both on and off the field.
On behalf of the Club and all its members, we extend our sincere gratitude to Jim for his exceptional service, hard work, and unwavering support over the years. We’ll look forward to having Jim supporting from the sideline with a well earned drink in hand.
Following the club AGM meeting last Thursday, it has been decided and voted that Jamie ‘Wiggy’ Wakefield will take up the role as CSCC Chairman!
Wiggy - ‘It’s an absolute honour to be voted into the role of Chairman of this great Cricket Club. I’m excited to help us take the next step forward, on and off the field.
Over the coming months I plan to bring a structured, business-minded approach to how we run the club: clearer goals, strong planning, and communication throughout the club, so every volunteer hour and every pound we raise goes even further for our members.
Just as importantly, we’ll keep an open, welcoming culture where everyone’s voice matters and we can enjoy our time at the club on every visit
Call to action: we’ve got a big push ahead to get the club ready—both financially and physically. Please do get behind our fundraising efforts and if you can spare a bit of time, come along to our upcoming works parties to help prepare the ground and facilities for the season. Many hands really do make light work.
A massive Thank you to Jim for all his tireless efforts during his tenure, he’s really set platform to help us move forward on his visions of the club, as well moving the club forward to where it stands today, some great achievements over the years he can be very proud of
Let’s continue to build something sustainable, ambitious and inclusive together’.
The club wishes Jamie the very best and full support in his new appointment 🏏
