Cherwell Cats Protection Cherwell CP care for cats and kittens in need around Bicester, Banbury, Brackley and Chipping Norton. We rescue, foster and rehome cats.

Cherwell Cats Protection cover Bicester, Banbury, Brackley and Chipping Norton. As well as this we offer free advice to cat owners who are in need of guidance. We meet regularly to review cat welfare issues, re-homing, fund-raising and other business. As a team we rescue, neuter, foster, rehabilitate and re-home up to 25 cats and kittens each month but there are always more on our waiting list. Ou

r foster homes cater for tiny kittens and their mums, larger kittens, adult neutered cats and cats needing treatment. Every cat we bring in has a basic vet check which involves vaccination, flea/worm treatment and a general health check. This costs approximately £150 per cat and very often, especially in the case of a stray, there are more serious problems which need addressing. If you then take into account the cost of food, heat, litter etc. all the things that contribute to keeping a cat, you realise just how much money we need to raise, just to keep going. We are a relatively small branch with limited resources in both personnel and finances and rely on a group of enthusiastic volunteers to care for the cats and raise the money to enable us to do so, it's donations from everyday people like you which mean we can continue our work. The branch membership is £10.00 per year, as a member you receive updates on are work and are invited to get involved in anyway you are willing to help. Coco is a simply gorgeous girl who is just over a year old and is now looking for a loving forever home. She is an incredibly affectionate and loving cat with such a gentle, sweet nature. Coco seems to adore everyone she meets and is the kind of girl who loves attention, affection and being around people. She has a truly lovely temperament and would make a wonderful companion. Coco previously lived happily alongside another cat. Sadly, things changed when the other cat had kittens and the two cats no longer got along.
She really is a special girl — beautiful inside and out — and deserves a home where she will be cherished, spoiled and loved unconditionally.

Shadow is a loving, gentle chap who enjoys the quieter things in life. You’ll often find him happily watching the world go by from the window before settling down for a lovely sunny snooze.

He absolutely loves his Dreamies and is partial to a little fuss, especially a good chin scratch!

We have a large family of kittens who haven’t had a good start in life but they are now feeling great so are looking forward to finding a loving secure home.

Gio and Hunter are ready to go now and the rest will be ready in around 3 weeks. All the kittens are very friendly and affectionate so would make a great family pet.

Merlin is a truly gorgeous boy with the biggest heart and a huge love for attention. He absolutely adores his humans and will happily head-butt you for head rubs, before rubbing all around you to show just how much he loves you. ❤️

He’s a gentle giant with a heart of gold and would make a wonderful, loving companion. Merlin enjoys playing with his catnip toys and, of course, is always happy to hear the sound of the Dreamies packet!

At just 6 years old, Merlin still has plenty of playful energy and loves having fun, but he’s also the perfect cuddle companion when it’s time to relax.

Jupiter is a simply gorgeous 12-week-old boy with a wonderful personality and bags of energy! He’s a happy, playful little kitten who loves exploring, having fun and getting involved in everything around him.
He’s grown up alongside his four siblings, so he’s very used to having other cats around and could happily live with a feline companion in his new home, with the usual careful introductions.

Jupiter is such a lovely little character and is sure to bring plenty of fun, love and laughter to his forever family. At just 12 weeks old, he has so much growing and discovering to do, and we’re looking for a loving home where he can continue to thrive.
