We were absolutely thrilled to host our very first Read Easy celebration! 🎉📚
A huge congratulations to Gemma, who marked an incredible milestone by completing the Turning Pages Course and receiving her certificate—she can now read! 🌟
Gemma shared how excited she is to read with her son, the very inspiration that led her to begin this journey. And that’s not all—she’s now signed up as a library member and has even started writing her own book! ✍️💛
Moments like these remind us just how powerful learning can be. We are so proud to have been part of Gemma’s journey.
A heartfelt thank you to Read Easy for partnering with The Branch, and for the dedication and support shown each week in guiding Gemma through the course.
Here’s to new chapters, new opportunities, and many more celebrations to come!

If you struggle to read or English isn’t your first language, please don’t let this be a barrier. Please call into The Branch to chat about the Read Easy Course or our English Conversation Lessons.

Could you light a fire with nothing more than tinder and sparks from a steel? In a Bushcraft session this week, young people not only lit fires but learnt how to chop wood and make 'ovens' to bake banana splits and garlic dough balls: learning new skills, gaining confidence and enjoying being in the garden.

Many thanks to Community Foundation for their Thriving in Nature grant, enabling some of our work with young people.

Celebrating International Women’s Day

We’re proud to support women from Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Ukraine through our English conversation sessions — helping build confidence, friendships, and stronger connections with the community around them.

We’re so grateful to our amazing volunteers who make these sessions possible.

Yesterday we attended The High Sheriff’s “Hearing the Young Unheard” County Conference on Early Intervention and Life Chances. The message that came through loud and clear was this: every young person needs to feel that they truly BELONG.

At The Branch, we’re recommitting ourselves to making sure that every young person who walks through our doors feels valued, listened to and supported.

We are passionate about building a community where everyone knows they belong. Belonging can look different for each individual. It might be discovering a love of cooking, spending time in the garden, making a cup of tea with someone they’ve only just met, stepping into volunteering, or knowing exactly where to turn when they need support.

Belonging starts with feeling seen and heard — and that’s what we will continue to strive for at The Branch.

We were delighted to welcome Michael Bhaskar – AI Futures, Strategy & Comms @ Microsoft AI to The Branch Business Club, where he spoke to a group of local business leaders about the rapidly evolving world of Artificial Intelligence.

A huge thank you to Michael for sharing his expertise with us and hosting a very thought provoking Q&A.

Isn't it wonderful to see spring on its way? Daffodils and crocuses planted by young adult gardeners are opening their petals to the change in season.

Spring is reminding us - what’s planted with care will bloom in time.

Today marks the 4th anniversary of the outbreak of war in Ukraine.
The Branch are thinking of and praying for Ukraine, and for all those whose lives have been affected since the conflict began. We are especially thankful for our Ukrainian friends in the Chippy community — your strength, resilience are inspirational.

We stand with you. 🇺🇦

Hope has a powerful way of shining through, especially when it’s seen through the eyes of children. The pictures created by the children of Great Rollright School are a beautiful celebration of that hope, filled with colour, energy, and meaning.

The children were inspired to illustrate a core value of The Branch, using the work of artist Lakwena Maciver as their guide.

Thank you to all the children for your fantastic artwork. Your pictures are joyful, inspiring, and full of hope — you should be incredibly proud of what you’ve created and we are loving displaying them in The Branch.
