In these challenging times, we understand that many may be facing difficulties. That's why we're opening the doors of the Chippy Larder for an hour tomorrow:

Tuesday, April 2nd, from 9-10 am

To provide food support to those who are struggling.

Location: The Guildhall in Chipping Norton

We'll have a variety of essential food items and toiletries available for anyone who needs them. Whether you're experiencing financial hardship, struggling to make ends meet, or just need a little extra support, please feel free to pop down and visit us.

Please note: This event is NOT the SOFEA Larder, all items have been donated for those in need.

Today marked a heartwarming milestone for us at The Chippy Larder as we took our culinary passion to St. Mary’s Primary School in Chipping Norton! Together with the incredibly talented Dominic Hex, we embarked on a cooking adventure with the whole school, sharing the essential life skill of cooking.

Our kitchen journey led us to the creation of a mouthwatering Tomato Soup, bursting with flavour and nutrition. The best part? All the ingredients were from The Chippy Larder!

Starting from today’s fantastic demonstration, every Friday will be a mini culinary fest for these future chefs. In small groups, they’ll get hands-on experience crafting the delicious tomato soup using fresh, quality ingredients sourced from The Chippy Larder.

This initiative isn’t just about cooking; it’s about building skills, fostering creativity, and creating lasting memories. As part of our wider community outreach, these efforts align with our core aims to Nourish, Empower, and Connect.

Thank you Mid Counties Co-op for joining forces with us for an incredible Holiday Hamper Event!

Together, we’ve made magic happen for over 70 families across Chipping Norton, Banbury, and neighbouring villages, all referred by our amazing partner schools and charities.

The hampers were bursting with pantry must-haves, top-quality toiletries from Thrive NorthOx, delightful treats from our friends at Oats Health food shop in Chippy, and scrumptious cakes from the enchanting Blenheim Palace!

We're thrilled to partner with Chipping Norton School for their upcoming Christmas Jumper Day! This festive season, we're encouraging the donation of preloved Christmas jumpers (sized 11 years and above).

Help us make a difference by dropping off your donations at the Guildhall by December 14th. Let's create a memorable Christmas Jumper Day together while supporting the school and our planet!

1 in 5 women struggle to access period products.

The cost-of-living crisis has exacerbated this issue, with period poverty rising from 12% to 21% between 2022 and 2023 (Action Aid, 2023).

At The Chippy Larder, we believe that sanitary products should be FREE and accessible for everyone. That's why every Thursday, we're opening our doors to provide FREE pads and tampons for anyone who needs them.

Let's work together to ensure that no one faces the indignity of period poverty. Come and see us at The Chippy Larder every Thursday and pick up your essentials without any barriers.
