🚀🌾 From Outer Space to Harvest Time! 🍂⭐

We had a lovely time at our first parent event of the term on Wednesday! Thank you to all the parents who joined us for a morning of space-themed crafts, creating wonderful moon paintings, finger paintings and colourful rocket, planet and star suncatchers!

We've also been learning about autumn and harvest, exploring where our food comes from, the different fruits and vegetables that grow around us, and how farmers grow and harvest the food we eat. 🍎🥕🌾

As part of this, we enjoyed a visit to the church to see the Harvest Festival displays and learn more about this special time of year.

It's certainly been a busy and creative week! 💫

Thanks to everyone who came to see us at the Charlbury Street Fair last Saturday!

We had wet sponges flying at the stocks, fairy wings and wands for sale, and a bit of a coup with The Oxford Face Painter 🎨 Her designs were incredible – so much detail on such small, wriggly faces! We loved seeing her creations around the fair.

A huge thank you to the Glasgow family for covering the cost of the face painting, helping us raise vital funds to keep our Pre-School going. As always, every bit of support counts.

Thanks to everyone who spent money with us, helped on the stall or took a soaking!

Wow - we’re already into our second full week back at Charlbury Pre-School, and it’s been so lovely to be back!

It’s amazing how quickly everyone has settled back into the routine, and the children are having a great time playing, learning and catching up with friends. ❤️

This week, we’ll be starting our new ‘All About Me’ books, giving the children a chance to think and talk about themselves, their families and all the things that are special to them. 📚

We’re looking forward to another busy and fun term together! 🌟

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our inaugural Charlbury Garage Sale yesterday — what a brilliant afternoon! ☀️

We couldn’t have asked for better weather, and it was amazing to see so many people out and about around town, browsing, chatting and getting involved.

Far more people hosted sales and took part than we’d imagined, which was wonderful to see, and the cakes and refreshments at Pre-School were a huge hit too!

So thank you, so much, to everyone who baked, volunteered, sold, shopped, donated and helped spread the word.

All the money raised will go towards supporting our fabulous Pre-School and helping us keep this much-loved local setting going for Charlbury families.

We’re so grateful to everyone who played a part. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Stay & Play sessions over the summer! ☀️

It was so lovely to open the doors of Charlbury Pre-School during the holidays and welcome lots of families in – both familiar faces and plenty of new ones too.

We started the summer enjoying lots of sunshine and outdoor play, and by our final session the weather had us spending a little more time inside… a sure sign that it must be nearly time for the new term! 🌦️🍂

We hope everyone who came along had as much fun as we did. Thank you for making our summer Stay & Plays so lovely! 💛

Graduation picnic! 🎓💛

At the end of term we gathered for our annual Graduation Picnic, where we celebrated all of our children – especially those getting ready to take their next big step to primary school.

There were plenty of smiles (and a few happy tears, possibly!) as we sang our special Goodbye Song, presented each of our graduates with their certificates and gifts, and watched them proudly dress up in graduation gowns and mortar boards for some very special photos.

We are so proud of every single one of our children and all they have achieved this year. It has been a joy to watch their confidence, friendships and personalities grow.

To all our families moving on, thank you for being such an important part of the Charlbury Pre-School community. We wish you every happiness and success as you begin your next adventure at school. We'll miss you all!

Have a wonderful summer, and thank you to all our amazing staff, volunteers and families for another memorable year. 🌞
