Admittedly amongst us there are a couple of parents who are also teachers at school, which is really useful! We raise money throughout the year at various events by running bars, cake stalls, raffles, Christmas (and next year Vintage Spring!!) markets and all kinds of other stuff. We run our own events, like the Christmas Fayre, but also support school events like the upcoming KS4 Production. EVER

Y PENNY we raise goes towards support the school, and importantly our kids, by enhancing both the learning and social aspects of school life. We frequently donate over £5,000 worth of equipment every year. Once a term teachers are invited to bid for equipment that they need which the school are unable to fund through normal channels. Last year this has included a fridge for food tech, Apple TVs for science, trampolines and vaulting horses for PE, BIG BOARD GAMES for the learning support team and books for the library. As well as physical purchases, we also support events such as poetry work shops for English. Our aim is to reach as many pupils in the school as possible with the money that we raise, and each bid we receive is assessed in terms of the number of people, students AND teachers, that it will impact. Aside from that, we have our meetings at a local pub or hotel twice a term, generally with pint or wine glass in hand. Running the bars and events is hard work but great fun. We get work directly with the Head and teachers. So, to keep up to date, like the FB page, follow us on twitter and watch out for group calls and e-mails.

SCHOOL JUMPERS NEEDED!
The CCSPA online used uniform shop is running very low on school jumpers (now that it’s getting a bit chilly). If you have any at home that no longer fit your child, we would really appreciate any donations.
We have however recently added more stock of other items: blazers, skirts, cardigans, skorts, shorts, sports polo, sports sweaters, rugby tops, training tops, shirts, ties and socks so why not have a look and stock up:

To search for specific items, either click on the arrow at the foot of the site page to ‘explore all products’ or use the search icon (magnifier) at the head of the page to enter your search criteria.

Used uniform orders can either be collected from the school office or sent home via a CCS student, just follow the specific instructions during the checkout process. All orders are collated early on the Friday of your order week and will be waiting for you at the school office from that Friday afternoon onwards, meaning you can collect any day from that Friday onwards, during normal school office hours. Alternatively, the order will be sent home via your pupil if that option is requested and their name and class added where required.

Less than one week to go for …….Schools Back! If you need any extra items why not visit our site to purchase used uniforms at great prices. Orders placed now can be collected from school (or sent home with a CCS pupil) from Friday 5th September.
