One Year On from Storm Bert
Today marks one year since our Squadron building was devastated by the floods caused by Storm Bert. Losing our teaching equipment, uniform stores and treasured memorabilia was incredibly difficult, but the strength of our Cadets, the dedication of our Staff, and the kindness of our families and wider community have carried us through.
To everyone who supported us over the last year, whether you donated to our fundraising page (still linked in our bio), shared our story, or helped in any way you could - thank you. Your support meant more than we can express, and it has never gone unnoticed.
Sadly, the challenges are not over. We continue to operate out of temporary accommodation in Chippenham, and do not have a confirmed date for returning to our building. We remain hopeful that 2026 will finally bring some positive news and a clear way forward.
Despite everything, our Cadets have shown outstanding resilience, positivity and commitment. We could not be prouder of the way they have adapted, supported one another, and continued to embody the spirit of the RAF Air Cadets. The pictures included show some of our highlights from the year!
Thank you once again for standing with us. We look forward to sharing better news with you in 2026 — and until then, we’ll keep doing what we do best: inspiring, learning and moving forward together. 💙✈️
