Who is joing us tomorrow, Saturday 6th May, to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III? 👑

Please note, there is NO wet weather option, so come prepared for good old-fashioned British weather! People are also welcome to bring a parasol or gazebo. Remember The Jolly Huntsman and Kington cafe, as well as KSM Club, will also be open.

Picnic tables will be available on the road opposite The Jolly Huntsman and the stretch of road on the main street from Kington cafe up to the tulip bed. If residents in this area would kindly move their cars to clear the road that would be much appreciated!🙏

The Big Lunch - celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III on Saturday 6th May, 12 noon - 4:30 pm in Kington St Michael.

The Jolly Huntsman pub and Kington Club will both be open for business. The club will be showing the televised Coronation on its big screens.

As ever, Kington St. Michael will be celebrating in style with a street party for the forthcoming King's Coronation. There will be a ROAD CLOSURE from 11:30 am -5 pm. NB: The village bus will run as timetabled. This will be in the same place as last time from in the Main Street from the telephone box to number 27 (not including The Ham).

The event will run in all weathers, though please, please let it be sunny! Bring your own food. Please take your rubbish home.

In readiness for the King’s Coronation, volunteers are needed to help erect bunting on the Thursday (4th May) before the event. Helpers will also be needed on the day with placing picnic tables in the road. Please email Liz if you can help: [email protected].

and has made a special throne which will be available for Coronation selfies!

Wishing everyone in the Kington St Michael community a happy and healthy 2023.

You may have noticed the Platinum Jubilee bench is temporarily in my drive, please feel free to sit on it and use it. Its great to watch the world go by, opposite Megan’s eggs right now. It’s awaiting a permanent position, hopefully in The Ham.

Also recently added is a new very smart commemorative sign at the top of the village. Hope they will be around for many more years to come.
