Play is crucial for young children but it doesn't have to be complicated! Everything is an adventure to them - so get out your pots and pans, lay down a blanket, poor out some rice/pasta/shedded paper or sand and let them experiment!

We had a wonderful time with our new volunteers in the 3rd Session of their Volunteer Preparation course.

It was a chance to hone their listening skills ready for when they work directly with local families.

What an incredible time our families had at the Elmer Exhibition (by the late David Mkee - Elmer the Patchwork Elephant) at the The Novium Museum - the second time we've been welcomed by their wonderful team.

We are so grateful to local venues, organisations and companies who support our family with such opportunities - they help to build confidence, resilience, aspirations and relationships.

This week we said goodbye to the wonderful Ellie!

Ellie joined us as part of her degree placement and then went on to volunteer weekly with us at our Chichester family group. We were delighted when she stepped in to support the Play Leader role over the summer, making a real difference to the lives of local families.

We now wave goodbye to her as she goes back to university to complete her teacher training! What a hero!
