Bike Week 2026 🚲

This Bike Week, we’re taking a moment to look back at the incredible support we’ve received from our community so far this year.

Thanks to your generosity, we have had 336 bikes donated in 2026 – and counting!

Every bike donated helps us repair, refurbish and rehome bikes, giving them a second life while supporting people in our community to access affordable transport.

To everyone who has donated a bike, shared our work, volunteered their time or supported us in any way – thank you. We couldn’t do it without you.

At The Chichester Bike Project, we give pre-loved bikes a new lease of life - transforming them into affordable, eco-friendly rides for our community.

We’re passionate about making cycling accessible to everyone. Alongside refurbishing bikes, we run hands-on workshops, attend community events, and support local organisations with their biking needs.

We’re proud to be investing in our amazing volunteers by offering cycle maintenance workshops to help build their skills, confidence, and development within our project.

Big thanks to Schwalbe!

David, one of our volunteers, has been out road testing Schwalbe’s Clik Valve system. The Clik Valve replaces standard bike valves with a much easier system that simply clicks on and off, making pumping tyres up quicker, simpler and far less fiddly.

Such a clever bit of kit, which was kindly sent to us to test out and try for ourselves. We’d highly recommend giving them a go 👌
