Wonderful to see all the Harriers coming in to Roost ….never thought I’d see this so close to home …!!!

Here is a shot of the 'ghost of the reedbeds' a male hen harrier! Thanks to David Shaw Wildlife for the photo (taken in low light), from his visit last Wednesday. David is familiar with birds of prey as he and wife Janet run the Chichester Peregrine program at the Cathedral finding funding, running open days and writing the website.

Dad was keeping guard yesterday and it seems that both the Girls have left the building to carry on their lives. They were both hunting well and in an advanced position for their age so I’m sure they will do well as they go looking for their new territory…!!
