🦫🐿️ What a fantastic way to kick-start our new term! 🌿🦆

In September, our Beavers and Squirrels had an amazing day out at Arundel Wetland, packed full of exploring, learning and lots of fun with friends! 💚

🔎 We started by learning all about minibeasts — where they live and how to find them — before heading out to explore and see what bugs we could discover.

💦 We then learnt about the creatures that live in water, lakes and ponds, and even had a go at pond dipping! 🐸🪲

🐦 Next, we discovered more about birds, including what they eat and how their different-shaped beaks help them catch and eat their food. Can you see our silly leaders with their bird hats on?!

After all that exploring, we enjoyed a lovely lunch together before heading out on a boat trip 🚤🌊.

🌳 We finished the day with some time playing in the park with our friends and settling down for a story and ice lolly.

It was a brilliant day full of adventure, discovery, laughter and friendship — the perfect way to start our term! 💚

🚒🔥 What a fantastic evening at the Fire Station! 🔥🚒

Our Beavers had the BEST time this evening learning all about the amazing work our firefighters do. 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

We got to explore the fire engines, learn about the different types of emergencies firefighters respond to, and find out how to call 999 and who would come to help. 📞🚨

We even came away with some important homework — checking the batteries in our smoke detectors at home! 🏠🔋

And, of course, the highlight of the evening… having a go with the water hoses! 💦🚒 What a brilliant experience!

A huge thank you to our fantastic firefighters for giving our Beavers (and leaders!) such a fun, educational and memorable evening! ❤️👏

Wishing our Scout team an amazing time this weekend at the Jr Downsman! 🏕️🥾

Today they’ll be walking approximately 11 miles, pitching their tents and cooking their own meals, followed by another 8 miles tomorrow! Along the way, they’ll reach checkpoints with random fun challenges, putting their first aid and knot-tying skills to the test — all while keeping Eddie the Egg safe and intact! 🥚😂

Good luck, Scouts! 💪 We’re so proud of you all.

And most importantly… don’t looseGavin! ❤️

Have an amazing weekend and enjoy every minute! 🌲🔥🥾

A huge thank you to Tangmere Community Garden for welcoming our Beavers this week! 🌿💚

The Beavers had a lovely time making their own pizzas and cooking them in the pizza oven, followed by making delicious croissants over the fire. 🍕🥐🔥

It was such a wonderful evening of fun, food and outdoor adventures — made even more special by the perfect sunset! 🌅

Thank you again for having us. We had a fantastic time! 🦫💚

Wow
Tangmere squirrels were very lucky to attend the First ever Go Squirrels event yesterday. There were over 100 Squirrels at Hill Activity centre and with sussex scouts events running the day. A lot of fun was had by all

The Scouts had a great time today supporting Mount Noddy RSPCA at their annual Noddy Fest event.
Special thanks to Secure Screening Services for helping set up today's event. The additional support of local businesses is always hugely helpful to the group

National Lazy Day invites us to sit back and take a break from busy life.

Our mums and dads, caregivers and Scouts volunteers do so much for us, so why not do something for them?

Make a cuppa, take on a household chore or give them some quiet time – it’ll show just how much you care. ☺️
