💛 𝗛𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 💛

Nobody should feel unsafe, intimidated or targeted because of who they are.

Whether it happens in the workplace, online, in public or within your community, hate crime and hate incidents have no place in Derbyshire.

This Hate Crime Awareness Week, we're encouraging everyone to recognise the signs of hate crime and to report it. Reporting helps agencies understand what's happening, support those affected and take action where needed.

If you have experienced hate crime, you're not alone. Derbyshire Victim Services can provide free, confidential support, practical advice and guidance, regardless of whether the crime has been reported to the police.

📢 Report hate crime or find support: https://www.derbyshirevictimservices.co.uk/types-of-crime/hate-crime/

Together, we can help make Derbyshire a safer and more inclusive place for everyone.

Anti-social behaviour and community safety was prioritised in PCC Nicolle Ndiweni-Roberts’ Police and Crime Plan in response to public concerns raised during her consultation.

In December, the progress made by Derbyshire Constabulary will be reviewed by the Commissioner, when she receives a report from the Chief Constable covering the activity to tackle the problem as part of her robust scrutiny of the Constabulary’s performance.

The Commissioner has always been clear that she is working with local residents to respond to their concerns. As such, members of the public and local businesses are invited to submit their own questions relating to anti-social behaviour and community safety ahead of the report’s publication, for response from the Constabulary.

Both the report and the questions and answers will be published on the Commissioner’s website.

📪 The question portal is still open and will close on Wednesday 14th October.
