🌍✈️ AROUND THE WORLD – DAY 1! 🇬🇧 ✈️🌍

Today we officially kicked off our exciting two-week ‘Around the World’ themed adventure, and what better place to start than right here at home… ENGLAND! 🇬🇧❤️

We started the day with some ‘Around the World’ Hangman, getting those brains ticking! 🧠✏️ Before and after dinner, our service users got busy creating their very own passports, ready for all the travelling and trips ahead! 📖🛂

This afternoon, Carla hosted a fantastic game of “Guess Where They’re From?” and “Guess Where the Place Is!” 🗺️🌎 There was plenty of thinking, guessing and teamwork as we tried to work out where each stamp belonged on the map! 🌍🧩

What a brilliant start to our two weeks! We’ve got lots more countries, activities, food, music and fun to come… 🌎🎶🍴

Today was all about getting involved, having fun and enjoying some friendly competition! We had two fantastic groups of Boccia 🎯 while the other room enjoyed a lively game of Bingo! 🎱💙

Today we got to celebrate our lovely Joel’s birthday at the centre! 🥳 Joel actually turns 28 this coming Sunday, but as we won’t see him again until next week, he very kindly brought in a delicious cake for everyone to enjoy! 🍰❤️

We gathered all of Joel’s friends together, sang Happy Birthday and enjoyed a lovely afternoon celebrating his special day! 🎈🎁✨

Today Carl took on the role of quiz master and hosted a fantastic quiz for everyone at the centre! 🏆✨
Despite the absolutely terrible weather outside 🌧️☔, we didn’t let it dampen our spirits — we brought the fun indoors with plenty of teamwork, friendly competition and some brilliant quiz answers! 😄👏

A huge well done to everyone who took part, and a special thank you to Carl for putting together such a fun day!💙

Today was all about taking it easy and enjoying plenty of fun activities around the centre! 🎨🧩

We had crafts happening throughout the day, our usual Tuesday Makaton session, bingo in Room 1 🎉 and a lovely storytime in the Rainbow Room 📖🌈

There was lots of laughter, creativity and plenty of smiles all around the centre today! 🥰💛

Today we’re delighted to introduce you all to our newest member of the team! 💕🌸

Mel has been part of the Edmund Street team for just 6 days, joining us as a Support Worker! 🥰

Although she’s only been with us a short time, we’re so excited to have her as part of our team and can’t wait to see all the wonderful things she brings to the centre ✨

A few fun facts about Mel… 📚🐾✈️
She loves reading, animals, travelling and, most importantly, spending time with her family! ❤️

Mel has worked in care previously and has also recently finished working in the funeral business, bringing lots of different experience and skills with her! 🌟
