Spire Folk Dance Club A welcoming and friendly folk dance club based just outside Chesterfield in North Derbyshire. We break for tea/coffee and biscuits half way through

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month (except August), between 19:45 and 21:45. We dance a mixture of mainly English folk dance, with dances from the 17th century rigth up to the modern day, plus some American dances, using recorded music. All dances are walked through at least once before dancing. Come and give us a try; it's good healthy exercise and a good way to make some new friends. You can come alone, or as couples, or in even larger groups; the more the merrier!

After many happy years dancing at the Brimington Methodist Church Hall, as from the first Tuesday in October 2025 - the 7th October - we shall be moving to a new venue about a mile away, at the Brimington Common Methodist Church Hall on Manor Road, Brimington, S43 1NU.
This move is solely as a result of several issues that occurred during early 2025 in the car park behind our former home.
Our new hall will be slightly larger then our previous one, so we shall be able to offer a greater degree of space and comfort to more dancers at our twice-monthly dances - so come and join us at our new home from 7th October 2025.

Two quick reminders:
- No Dance Club on Tuesday 5th December, as we shall all be tucking into our well-earned Spire Xmas meal;
- Dancing on Tuesday 19th December will be our Club Xmas party. Bring a SMALL plate of food to share at the extended interval. And if you have a favourite dance you would like to dance, let me know and I will try to include it in the programme.
