Waverton Cubs visited Well House Farm at the beginning of June, where Joe and Tom (the farmers) showed them around the farm!

They met cows and calves, learnt how much milk a cow produces daily (40l!) and completed a worm survey to assess soil health. 🐄🥛🪱

Our Watersports Team have been busy over the past couple of weeks! 🛶

1-4 = The final week of the 5 week kayaking course. The 14 young people taking part put all of the skills they learnt throughout the course into practice during a weir session!

5-6 = A leaders evening paddle from Eccleston Ferry back to the Riverside Centre

7-9 = Maverick ESU took to the water for a session of both kayaking and paddle boarding!

KidsBank Chester are hosting a Grosvenor's Eaton Estate Charity Garden Open Day next Sunday (14/06/26)!

The event will raise much needed funds for KidsBank and Scouts. They will be welcoming visitors to enjoy the gardens of Eaton Hall, home to the Duke and Duchess of Westminster. There will be lots of fun games to participate in, alongside a variety of stalls!

Visiting the Grosvenor's Eaton Estate is also an opportunity to learn more about the Grosvenor's activities and how these strive to provide economic, social and environmental benefit to the local area.

In May, 40th Chester Beavers & Cubs took a visit to Hayrack Church Farm. 🐑🐷🐄

The young people met a variety of different animals and even got to feed some of them!

We are delighted to announce that Isabelle Dorricott and Tomos Smalldon have been appointed as the next District Youth Leads for our District! They will be starting in their new roles from 1st July.

There will be opportunities to meet them both over the coming months, and we can’t wait to see them performing on stage at Chamboree as part of Chamboree X!

We're so happy that the River Dee has received bathing water status! 😁

It is one of 13 sites that has been awarded with the status and it means regular water quality testing & a clearer framework to tackle pollution!
