Update on Martyn’s Law

Statutory guidance has now been published to help those responsible for premises and events prepare for The Terrorism (Protection of Premsies) Act 2025. The legislation (known as Martyn's Law) is designed to improve safety at public venues and events.

This is relevant to community buildings and community event organisers across Cheshire, as the law will require those responsible for premises and putting on events to consider risks and plan how they would respond in an emergency.

While the legislation is not yet in force, there is time to understand what’s coming and start preparing.
