Could £500 help your group make a difference in rural Cheshire West?

Rural Together’s Rural Impact Fund offers grants of up to £500 per organisation to help rural residents access clubs, classes and services that support their health and wellbeing.

Funding can help groups try new ideas, tackle local challenges and reach more people. Priorities include reducing loneliness, supporting mental health and carers, rural transport and digital inclusion.

A MINDFULNESS COURSE FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN TARPORLEY, KELSALL, ASHTON HAYES, MALPASS and BUNBURY
New venue for mindfulness course -Tarporley Community Centre
After the success of a mindfulness course at Ashton Hayes earlier this year. Rural Together have funded a new course at Tarporley Community Centre.
Open to anyone who is registered with one of the Rural Alliance GP Practices.
Dr Adey& Dancy, Tarporley, Dr Kent & Partners, Tarporley, Kelsall Medical Centre, Laurel Bank, Malpass and Bunbury.
The start date is Thursday 17th September, from 10am to 12noon. The course is for 8 weeks.
Only 15 places, now only 4 places left book early to save your place.
The benefits of attending:
# A decrease in anxiety, stress, depression, irritability, giving an increase in energy levels.
# A reduction in pain and the emotional reaction to pain.
# Improves moods and emotional wellbeing

📢Community-led hospital discharge service delivers big results—secures long-term future

Cheshire Community Action has been awarded a £307,000 contract for 2.5 years, to continue delivering the successful Community Home First service across Cheshire West and Chester.

Delivered in partnership with Snow Angels and Neston C*C, the Community Home First service has become an integral part of the local hospital discharge process, supporting people to leave hospital safely and recover at home with ongoing support in their community.

Located in the semi-rural parish of Rixton-with-Glazebrook, beautifully refurbished in 2022, the hall is well maintained and equipped, offering an ideal setting for regular or one-off bookings.

The Community Hall has been a cornerstone of local spirit and togetherness since it was established on 26th February 1972. Built to give the community a place to gather, the Hall has become a welcoming venue where neighbours, friends, and families come together to celebrate, support one another, and make cherished memories.
