Last week, Lower Sixth pupils were privileged to hear the testimony of Holocaust survivor Harry Kessler MBE during a visit to The King's School Chester.
Harry gave a deeply personal and moving account of what he calls "My Accidental Life", sharing that a chance encounter in Vienna with a Chester couple, Mr and Mrs Jones, helped save his life when he and his parents fled N**i persecution years later.
As a school community, we were proud to learn that Mr Jones had been a pupil at The King's School, and in a remarkable coincidence, that Frankie Richards, one of our Maths teachers, is his great-granddaughter.
Mrs Richards and other members of the Jones family joined pupils in the lecture theatre to hear Harry's testimony, and were moved by his clear message: always choose kindness, show tolerance and stand up for others.
