We set up a Youth theatre under the name of Blacon Youth theatre two years ago, we were an umbrella organization under another company and now have decided to open it up and create a youth theater that is not associated with one place in Chester. So Act Out Youth Theatre was born, we are standing on our own two feet and becoming a organization in our own right. What do we offer? A fun and welcomin
g environment for children across the board age from 6 to 16. We do workshops on different elements of Theatre as well as the arts in general if anyone was interested in sound, lighting, costume and prop/set design we would provide the tools and knowledge to help young people thrive in this area. We will do two Major productions per year and these will take place in a full working theatre with stage, lighting, sound as well as front of house staff. We will cater for most needs and if a young person has an idea we will listen and help. We also offer a homework session as well as help and advice in whatever is needed. A Youth committee will be created in sessions also to make sure that all views and problems etc are heard by the team and the committee.
