The Chester Scibar Science...In a bar! Free science-based short talks by professionals, students & enthusiasts. Ask one of the coordinators about claiming this.

All our events are completely free and there's no need to book so just come along to any that yahr your fancy. Chester SciBar is "Science in a Bar" and is open to those with a general interest in science... both scientists and non-scientists alike. Evenings include a short speaker introduction and Q&A session/open debate, together with a selection of great drinks in a chilled and friendly atmosphere. Held on the second Tuesday of each month in the Garret bar of Chester’s iconic Storyhouse, within walking distance from Chester train station and the town centre. If you have any ideas/requests for topics or want to speak at one of the events, please don't hesitate to get in touch. University of Chester students can gain a point with the Chester Difference Award.

Are the British public right?
Join us in StoryhouseLive next week when Mike Pitts will hep us explore how we are hard-wired in the brain for stories. He'll explain how myths endure, the basis of psychology, and how good campaigns are built. But most importantly he’ll ruin all your favourite Christmas films by explaining the structure they all share!
Join us on Tuesday, and before then, don't forget to tell us about your favourite festive movie and what Christmas means to you: https://www.menti.com/alswhy4vq7yt
