When Emma and Chris adopted their youngest daughter, they ensured their six-year-old daughter was involved throughout the introductions and matching process.

The support offered by helped make the transition smoother and helped build the strong sisterly bond they share today.

Now, both girls are thriving as part of a loving family 🧡

A Family Life We're Building 🧡

Two and a half years ago, April's little boy came home to live with her.

Since then, they've navigated house moves, a new city, a new school and all the ups and downs that come with family life.

This , our CEO, Susy White, and our Director of Adoption and Fostering, Jacqui Shore, are attending the CVAA UK Conference in Edinburgh.

They are joining colleagues from across the voluntary sector to discuss the future of adoption and the support families need to thrive.

Today's latest figures shared at the conference highlight the vital impact that Voluntary Adoption Agencies (VAAs) continue to make:

❤️ VAAs provided more than 56,000 hours of adoption support to over 13,000 people - often funded by themselves.

❤️ VAAs continue to reach and support a diverse range of families, with 23% of adoption orders made to Global Majority adopters and 22% to LGBTQ+ adopters (At Adoption Matters, in 2025, 40% of our newly approved Adopters identified as LGBTQ+).

These figures demonstrate the essential role VAAs play, not only in finding loving, permanent families for children, but in providing the lifelong support that helps those families flourish.

We're proud to be part of a sector that continues to champion children, adopters and adoptive families every step of the way.
