Proud to be part of the support this amazing organisation provides 🩵💜💙
Homelessness does not stop at borders, so the solutions cannot either.
Today we welcomed the Police and Crime Commissioners for Cheshire Dan Price, and North Wales Andy Dunbobbin, to tour Chester’s new SHARE Homeless Action Centre.
Conversations focused on key issues including prison releases, winter provision, addiction support services, and the importance of better joined up working across agencies.
Dickie Danby, SHARE CEO said: “When someone becomes homeless, they often fall between services and systems. Real progress happens when organisations work together, share information and resources, and refuse to let people slip through the cracks.”
The SHARE Homeless Action Centre (SHAC) has been created to provide a safe, structured place where people can access support services all under one roof, including housing, doctors, addiction support, probation and daytime activities, all part of a pathway to find a safe place to call home and rebuild their lives.
We thank the Commissioners for taking the time to visit, listen, and engage with the work being done to support some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.
