TimeAway was created because every family deserves the chance to make memories together, take a break from the everyday challenges of caring, and simply enjoy being a family.

For families caring for a sick or disabled child, a holiday can feel out of reach. We’re here to help change that.

Through the generosity of holiday home owners who donate stays in their properties, we give families the opportunity to spend precious time together, create lasting memories, and return home feeling refreshed.

So far this year, thanks to our incredibly generous holiday let owners, we’ve sent families on 90 TimeAway breaks, equating to 497 nights away. 💚

That’s 497 nights of families spending precious time together, making memories, taking a break from the everyday challenges they face and simply enjoying being a family.

A beautiful luxury cottage in Deal, so close to the sea you can hear the waves from the back garden. Beautifully decorated throughout with earthy tones, original period features and contemporary art, with Crittall doors opening out onto a sun-trap garden. The kids will love the custom crow's nest bunk room, while parents can enjoy the spacious king-size master bedroom with its vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. Deal itself is a gem — voted best place to live in the UK by the Sunday Times — with a pier, Saturday farmers' market, galleries, independent shops and brilliant places to eat. The historic town of Sandwich, the White Cliffs of Dover and the seaside towns of Broadstairs and Margate are all within easy reach.

This is one of the most common things we hear from owners.

The good news is, accessible properties are not the only properties families need.

Not all disabilities impact mobility and we can usually find a suitable family for any property donated to Time Away.

Whether it's a countryside cottage, coastal apartment or family lodge, your empty dates could still give a family caring for a sick or disabled child the chance to rest, reconnect and make special memories together.

Sometimes the greatest gift is simply having time to be mum. ❤️

After weeks of appointments, therapy and a busy schedule, Jayden and his mum had the chance to splash, smile, relax and make memories together.

For families caring for a child with additional needs, this is more than a holiday. It’s time together. A chance to breathe. Precious memories to hold onto long after they return home.

Jayden had the absolute best time, and we’re so grateful to his mum for sharing a glimpse of their break with us. 🥰

A charming detached lodge set in a quiet holiday park in Castlewigg, surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the Machars Peninsula in southwest Scotland. Whithorn — home to Scotland's first recorded Christian church, a medieval priory and fascinating archaeological site — is just 1.5 miles away, with a shop and pub also nearby. The beach is 5 miles away. Monreith Animal World, St Ninian's Cave, Wigtown (Scotland's National Book Town) and the spectacular Galloway Forest Park are all within easy reach, along with the beautiful Logan Botanic Gardens and Castle Kennedy Gardens.
