Last year, we supported the launch of a much-needed support group in Chester for those who have experienced the loss of an adult child. The group has made life-changing impact, including improving participants mental health.

Thank you to Anthony Annakin‑Smith for his fascinating talk this afternoon in StoryhouseLive on the ‘abandoned’ children cared for at Chester’s foundling hospital in The Bluecoat.

A total of 306 children passed through the doors of the hospital, and it was incredibly moving to learn more about their lives and the history behind this remarkable place!

Last year, we were delighted to award Neuro Therapy Centre a grant of £4,596.60 to help them continue their vital work supporting people living with long‑term, degenerative neurological conditions, including Parkinson’s and MS.

This funding enabled the Centre to provide specialist physiotherapy to over 100 individuals, helping them manage symptoms, maintain mobility and improve their overall quality of life.
