“Losing my son was hard enough but the process of ensuring he was returned home in order to have the send off he deserved was not an easy process I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through.
As many of you are aware, last year I lost my beautiful boy Jayden in a tragic accident in Thailand.

At this point I was unaware of the charity Jack The Lad Foundation who can support by way of grants for the families of those who require repatriation. Not only that but they campaign for safer holidays for young brits, as course my care free spirit Jayden didn’t cover himself with an insurance policy.

He was a fun loving, spontaneous young man who just wanted to have fun with his friends, this is what was important to him. The weeks that followed Jayden’s death were long and stressful dealing with my grief as well as the logistics of it all. If I had known sooner how Jack The Lad could have supported me I would’ve jumped at this opportunity.

I am now running the Great Grimsby 10k to not only spread awareness of this amazing charity and what they can offer those who find themselves in a similar position to me, but to also raise them some money so they are able to do what they do best.

Please, if you can spare even £1 it all makes a difference.
