WE ARE OFFICIALLY ON THE BALLOT!

A MESSAGE OF GRATITUDE, HOPE, AND COMMITMENT TO THE GOOD PEOPLE OF GBOKO/TARKA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY

Today, with a heart overflowing with gratitude to Almighty God, humility before the people, and hope for a brighter future, I officially announce that by the mercies, favor, and divine grace of God, I have emerged as the duly affirmed Candidate and Flag Bearer of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the Gboko/Tarka Federal Constituency in the 2027 General Elections.

This moment is not merely a political milestone; it is the manifestation of a divine purpose, a collective dream, and the triumph of faith, perseverance, sacrifice, and unity.

Against all odds, through storms and uncertainties, God has remained faithful. As it is written in Psalm 118:23, “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.”

Today, I boldly declare to the entire world:

TYOTINDI ATE 2027 IS OFFICIALLY ON THE BALLOT!

To God Almighty be all the glory.

I sincerely thank my beloved wife, whose prayers, sacrifices, encouragement, understanding, and unwavering support have sustained me throughout this journey. Behind every strong man is a strong woman, and your love has been one of my greatest strengths.

I express profound gratitude to my leader, mentor, political father, and boss, Chief Prof. S.T. Hon, SAN. Thank you for believing in me, giving me a platform, nurturing young leaders, and creating opportunities for a new generation of servant leadership. Your confidence in me will never be taken for granted. By the grace of God, your vision for a better Benue State shall continue to inspire hope across our land.

My heartfelt appreciation goes to the leadership of our great party, the Social Democratic Party (SDP), especially the State Chairman, the Zonal Chairman, local government executives, ward executives, and every party stakeholder who stood by the principles of fairness, justice, and internal democracy.

I also deeply appreciate our Director-General, Pastor Adue Jov, Dr. Ngutor Anyman, Hon. Aume Andoor, Hon. Emmanuel Ibua, Apostle Terfa Peter, and all the distinguished church leaders whose prayers, wise counsel, and support have strengthened this movement.

To our campaign coordinators, media team, volunteers, youth leaders, women leaders, supporters, friends, and well-wishers, thank you for your sacrifices. Many of you worked tirelessly behind the scenes without seeking recognition. Your labor has not been in vain.

To the pastors and Christian leaders across Gboko and Tarka who gathered to pray for this vision, I remain eternally grateful. The prayers offered on behalf of this mandate are priceless treasures that money can never buy. Your intercession has become part of the foundation upon which this journey stands.

Most importantly, I thank the good people of Gboko and Tarka Federal Constituency. Thank you for your trust, encouragement, prayers, and belief in the possibility of a new era of effective representation. This victory belongs to you. This movement belongs to you. This campaign belongs to the people.

As we move forward, let me be clear: this is not a campaign built on division, bitterness, or personal attacks. It is a campaign built on ideas, service, competence, integrity, inclusion, youth empowerment, women participation, community development, and effective representation.

The journey has only begun.

The ticket has been secured.
The ballot has been secured.
The mandate is alive.
The movement is growing.

Now is the time for greater unity, greater commitment, and greater determination.

As the Scripture declares in Isaiah 41:10:

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

With God on our side and the people standing together, the future is bright.

I call on every son and daughter of Gboko and Tarka, both at home and in the diaspora, to join this movement. Let us rise above political divisions and work together to build the future our people deserve.

This is our moment.
This is our opportunity.
This is our collective responsibility.

Together, we shall write a new chapter of progress, hope, and purposeful representation.

TYOTINDI ATE 2027
A Divine Mandate
A People’s Movement
A Vision Whose Time Has Come

Thank you and God bless Gboko.
God bless Tarka.
God bless Benue State.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

PRESS STATEMENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE.

A New Chapter of Principle, Courage, and Service.

I, Apostle Dr. Agune Terzungwe Emmanuel (ATE2027),

Following extensive consultations with my political associates, supporters, family members, stakeholders, and the good people who have stood firmly with us throughout this journey, I wish to formally announce my withdrawal and resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This decision was not made out of bitterness, anger, or personal ambition, but from deep reflection on the current political realities, the need to preserve personal integrity, protect the interest of my supporters, and continue the pursuit of genuine representation and purposeful leadership for our people.

Politics should remain a platform for service, justice, fairness, inclusion, and the advancement of the people—not intimidation, suppression of voices, or the sacrifice of personal convictions. Every political journey must ultimately be guided by conscience, vision, and commitment to the greater good.

I remain profoundly grateful to the numerous party members, elders, youths, women, supporters, and well-wishers who believed in our vision and stood by us with unwavering loyalty, encouragement, and sacrifice throughout this movement. Your support has been inspiring and will never be taken for granted.

To my uncle and all respected family members who have also taken their stand in this moment, I hold no resentment toward anyone. Families may differ politically, but our shared values of respect, unity, and peace must always prevail above politics.

This resignation does not mark the end of my political journey or my commitment to the development of our people. Rather, it marks the beginning of a new phase dedicated to building bridges, empowering the youth, promoting peace, and pursuing leadership founded on truth, competence, equity, and service.

I therefore urge all my supporters and followers to remain calm, peaceful, law-abiding, and focused. Let no one provoke you into violence, insults, or actions capable of disrupting the peace of our communities. Our strength has always been in our maturity, unity, and discipline.

History has shown that every challenge creates an opportunity for rebirth, growth, and stronger determination. We remain hopeful, resolute, and committed to the future.

The struggle for justice, development, and quality representation continues.

Thank you, and may God bless our people and our land.

Signed:
Dr. Agune Terzungwe Emmanuel

HON. DR. AGUNE TERZUNGWE EMMANUEL RECEIVES ROYAL AND FATHERLY BLESSINGS AHEAD OF HIS BID TO REPRESENT GBOKO/TARKA AT THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

Thursday, May 7, 2026

The Gboko Traditional Council, under the leadership of Ter Gboko II, His Royal Highness Gabriel Shosum, alongside other respected traditional rulers across Gboko Local Government Area, has bestowed royal and fatherly blessings upon Hon. Dr. Agune Terzungwe Emmanuel as he prepares to contest for the Gboko/Tarka Federal Constituency seat at the National Assembly in Abuja.

In Tivland, the blessing of traditional custodians remains a vital symbol of acceptance, legitimacy, and cultural endorsement for anyone seeking public office. The royal blessing accorded to Hon. Dr. Agune is therefore not merely ceremonial, but a profound declaration of confidence and support from the fathers of the land.

During the event, the traditional rulers, speaking individually but united in their position, emphasized that the honour extended to Hon. Dr. Agune was based on his outstanding service, integrity, humility, and proven character, rather than material influence or financial considerations. They charged him to remain committed to the interests of the people above partisan politics, while promoting peace, unity, cultural preservation, and good governance across Gboko and Tarka.

The traditional council further noted that the blessings and endorsement were given in recognition of Hon. Dr. Agune’s longstanding contributions to community development and his dedication to improving the lives of ordinary people.

Responding, Hon. Dr. Agune Emmanuel expressed profound appreciation to the traditional rulers for their fatherly support and confidence in him. He stated that words alone were insufficient to convey his gratitude for the honour and prayers bestowed upon him.

Hon. Dr. Agune reiterated his belief that leadership and politics should be platforms for creating opportunities and empowering the people, rather than making empty promises. Over the years, through various community outreach initiatives, he has supported skills acquisition programmes, small business grants, and educational sponsorships, even outside election periods.

He emphasized that the royal blessing symbolizes the restoration of balance, renewed hope, and the need for fresh and inclusive representation for the people of Gboko/Tarka in 2027. According to him, with the support of the traditional institution and the trust of the people, he is prepared to represent the constituency not as a partisan figure, but as a true voice for all.

With the blessings of the Gboko Traditional Council and the growing support of the people, Hon. Dr. Agune Terzungwe Emmanuel continues to emerge as a strong symbol of unity, service, and development for the Gboko/Tarka Federal Constituency.

For unity, for service, and for sustainable development — Hon. Dr. Agune for Gboko/Tarka Federal Constituency, 2027.
