🇩🇪 Another fantastic evening at Kids Zone!

Tonight we tried some German foods, including bratwurst, flavoured sausages, chicken schnitzel, pretzels and Black Forest gateau.

We also got creative with our Halloween crafts and held a colouring competition.

Well done to everyone who took part.

Join us for our German themed Community Lunch from 12pm – 1pm, with delicious food and our usual alternative option available. Everyone is welcome!

Then this afternoon, the fun continues as our Kids Zone goes German, with themed food, games and activities for the children.

The Birtley Hive Youth Club tonight

Last week we decorated cupcakes and worked in small groups to decide on our new youth club rules.

Tonight we’ll be making our own wraps using the ingredients provided.

Join us every Monday 6pm – 8pm at Birtley Community Centre.

Funded for all young people aged 12 – 18.

A Huge Thank You to David Leighton

We would like to say a massive thank you to David, who has kindly donated £70 to Birtley Community Centre to pay for 10 Christmas lunches at our Community Christmas Dinner on Tuesday 8th December.

David wanted to help 10 individuals enjoy a hot meal and attend a lovely festive event, making sure they can be part of the celebrations too.

This is such a thoughtful gesture and will help make Christmas a little brighter for 10 members of our community.

Thank you David for your kindness and generosity. It really does mean a lot to us and the people we support.

This is what community is all about.

We’re still buzzing from last night’s event! What an amazing evening celebrating the talent in our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who performed, came along to support us and helped make the night such a success. Congratulations again to our winner Katie! 🏆

We’re already looking ahead to Birtley’s Got Talent 2027 and expressions of interest are now open!
