Every Journey Has a Beginning... This Is Ours.
Before AIM Alternative Provision existed, our story had already begun.
Our story started before either of us could possibly know it. While our mums were in Hillingdon Hospital giving birth, two lives were beginning side by side — lives that would grow, take different paths, and eventually come back together with a shared purpose.
Growing up, we attended the same schools, sharing classrooms, corridors, friendships and all the familiar milestones of childhood. After Sixth Form, our paths moved in different directions.
Lyndsey went on to build a career supporting families through the mum and baby world, developing a deep understanding of what parents need during some of the most important and vulnerable stages of life. Hayley moved into education, where her passion for supporting children grew. Her career progressed from SEND teaching into the Local Authority, where she worked as an Inclusion Advisor and Interim Head of SEND Operations. Alongside her professional experience, Hayley also understood the SEND journey from a parent's perspective, navigating the system for her own child with an EHCP.
Eventually, our experiences came together. Lyndsey brought her understanding of families, parents and community support. Hayley brought her specialist SEND expertise, education experience and lived understanding of the challenges families face.
Together, we shared one belief:
Every child deserves to feel understood, supported and given the opportunity to thrive. And from that shared vision, AIM Alternative Provision was born.
These photos remind us that every journey starts somewhere… and we're so grateful ours led us here.
Have you ever reconnected with someone years later and realised your paths were always meant to cross? We’d love to hear your story.
