Taking children with a significant health condition or disability on a trip of a lifetime, and giving them something that lasts far longer - new confidence, hope, and a belief in what's possible 💙✈️ The experience can be life-changing, giving young people the chance to do something that medicine can’t - discover independence, confidence and a new outlook on life. Each year, Dreamflight selects deserving children aged 8 to 14 to embark on this magical journey. With the support of medical professionals and dedicated volunteers, the children experience the thrill of theme parks, meet beloved characters and create memories that last a lifetime. For many, it’s their first time away from home without family, helping them build independence and self-belief. Dreamflight also provides UK adventure trips for children with more complex needs or where travel to the US isn’t possible. These experiences ensure that every child has the opportunity to gain confidence, make friends and embrace new challenges. Dreamflight is more than just a trip - it’s a chance for children to shine beyond their circumstances, discover their own strength and embrace new possibilities. A huge Dreamflight welcome to Osh who is joining us for the first time on our upcoming Orlando trip, as one of our Media Team volunteers. We’re so excited to have him on board! 💙

Osh is a freelance camera operator and photographer working in television, and he lives in Barry, South Wales with his fiancée, Cerys (who is also a Dreamflight volunteer), and their cat, Gus.

As a Media Team volunteer, Osh will be filming the entire 10 day adventure for our Donald Duck group, and creating a film for the children, families and volunteers to cherish for years to come 🎥

The Media Team play such a special part in Dreamflight. While everyone is settling back home after the trip, they are editing hours of footage and crafting the magical films that mean so much to so many. We’re so grateful for all that they do.

As we count down to our Orlando trip, we’re shining a spotlight on the volunteers who make it all possible. The trip simply wouldn’t happen without them, and we are so grateful for their unwavering support 💙

Meet Abbie, one of our wonderful volunteer guides!

Abbie lives in Pembrokeshire, Wales with her husband, Mark (who is also a Dreamflight volunteer), and their lively collection of animals: two cats, two sheep, three ponies, one dog and a chicken. She is a one-to-one carer who enjoys walking, sea swimming and yoga. She’s also a beekeeper and living donor!

Orlando 2026 will be Abbie’s 8th trip. She originally joined us as British Airways crew. With the support of our medical volunteers, she gained the confidence and skills that have led to her becoming a carer for young people with high levels of need.

This year, Abbie will be supporting two children on our trip, and we know they’ll have a fabulous, fun-filled time with her 🌟

Things look a little different at Dreamflight, and we’d love to share the story behind it.

As we approach our 40th anniversary, we’ve refreshed our brand to better reflect who we are today, from the magic of Orlando to our UK adventures, and the lasting impact these experiences have on our children 💙

It’s an identity shaped by our community, volunteers, families, medical teams, supporters, and most importantly, the children at the heart of everything we do.

In just 24 sleeps, we’ll be heading to Orlando with 192 incredible children for a 10‑day adventure that gives them the chance to build confidence, form lifelong friendships, and realise what's possible 💙
