🧵 Help Create a Piece of Chepstow History!
Come and join us at Creative Makers Initiative for a FREE community textile workshop as part of GAVO’s 100th anniversary celebrations.
Stitch, paint or decorate your own textile patch celebrating the people, places, events and stories that have shaped Chepstow over the last 100 years. Your patch will become part of GAVO’s centenary textile banner.
📅 Friday 9th October
🕑 2pm to 4.30pm
📍 Creative Makers Initiative, above Koxy & Co, Portwall House, 5 Bank Street, Chepstow
All materials provided and no experience necessary. Everyone is welcome!

Did you see us in the summer issue of Chepstow & Forest Voice?
It was lovely to see Creative Makers Initiative CIC featured in the latest issue, talking about our new home in Bank Street and our plans for bringing more affordable and accessible creative activities to the local community.
The article also looks ahead to the new classes and creative opportunities we’ll be developing over the coming months.
A big thank you to Charlotte Moore and Her Band for arranging this and Chepstow & Forest Voice for featuring us and helping us spread the word about what we’re building here in Chepstow.

We’re a little late sharing last week’s photos from the final session of our Creative Wellbeing Mini Course. This week’s heat has melted our usual timetable 🫠, so thank you for bearing with us! We hope you’re managing to keep cool. 💚

It was a lovely way to bring the course to a close, with plenty of creativity, conversation and beautiful work taking shape around the table. A big thank you to everyone who joined us over the past few weeks. We’ve loved seeing all your creations come to life.

We had another lovely creative session this week at Creative Makers CIC on our Creative Wellbeing Mini Course 💚

It’s always wonderful to see everyone relaxing, chatting, and getting absorbed in making something with their hands. Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such an enjoyable morning.
