Making the arts accessible for all via our work at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham.

The Everyman Theatre’s Education & Community work is about making the arts accessible for all. Our year-round programme includes creative workshops, youth theatre, choirs and community outreach projects. In 2026 we’ll open the Everyman Education Centre on Grove Street, a dedicated centre for creativity in Cheltenham, with community at its heart.

📣New Everyvoice Choir alert! 📣

Introducing Babes in Arms! 👶 🎶

Join us at our brand-new Education Centre for these relaxed sessions designed for parents, grandparents, babies and pre-school children to connect over music. 🎼

Led by the brilliant Everyvoice team, Caroline and Julia, these sessions use the joy of shared singing to boost parent and baby wellbeing and confidence.

By becoming part of this community, you’ll meet other parents and grandparents in a welcoming environment and sing uplifting songs with other families, all whilst enjoying quality time with your little one.

📅Tuesdays: 2pm – 2:45pm (term time)

📍The Everyman Education Centre

💷£75 per term (bursaries available)

ℹ️No previous singing experience needed, just come along and join in!

Thank you, Ross! 🎶

After three fantastic years with Everyvoice, we’re saying goodbye to our brilliant Choir Accompanist, Ross.

Since joining us, Ross has brought so much creativity, energy and enthusiasm to every rehearsal, performance and show. 🎭

Having created countless iconic medleys, beautiful vocal arrangements, spine-chilling harmonies and wonderfully dramatic musical creations, he’s played a huge part in keeping our choirs sounding fresh whilst having fun along the way.

While there have been plenty of memorable moments along the way, one of Ross’ highlights was accompanying our outstanding Everyvoice Choirs at our Gala Charity Night with Sir Derek Jacobi on the Main Stage – definitely one for the memory books! 🌟

Thank you, Ross, for everything you’ve done to support and champion Everyvoice over the past three years. You’ve been a wonderful part of our community and will be very much missed!

While most of us are soaking up the last few weeks of summer, our wonderful Casting On knitters are already getting into the festive spirit! 🎄

The group has been busy creating charming characters and handmade pieces for our upcoming Christmas production of The Wind in the Willows in partnership with Box Tale Soup, as well as knitting accessories for the actors and puppets bringing the story to life. 🐭

Members have also been crafting pullovers for Hayley Pursey (who is delighted with them!) and a very special dress for Rosie – one of Jess’ cherished childhood toys. 👗

You’ll be able to see Casting On’s creations in action when The Wind in the Willows arrives at the Irving Studio Theatre this November!

Congratulations to this incredibly talented group of young performers who have completed their BTEC studies! 🤩

Over the past two years, they’ve worked hard, grown in confidence and developed their skills as performers, bringing creativity, commitment and passion to everything they do. It’s been wonderful to see them flourish into the kind, confident and captivating performers they are today.

Caro joined the Everyman family as an usher back in 2000 and is now our Education and Community Project Manager.

Having worked behind the scenes and performed on stage, Caro knows the Everyman from just about every angle!

As a passionate advocate for making theatre more accessible to all communities, she manages many of our projects and partnerships - from supporting emerging performers through our Stagedoor Learning BTEC to bringing creativity into health and wellbeing through our Creative projects.

We want to say a huge thank you to our amazing Young Leaders - Ellie, Holly, Ella, Quinn and Safa - for supporting our Everyman Youth Theatre classes throughout this year. 🎭

Your enthusiasm, encouragement, creativity and commitment have made such a difference to our young performers. Thank you for giving your time, sharing your talents and helping to create a fun, welcoming and inspiring environment every single week.

You are wonderful role models, and we are so proud to have you as part of the EYT family. 🙌

🙌Lending a Helping Hand! 🙌

Mark Goucher, CEO of the Everyman Theatre, and Clive Thomas, Chairman of the Theatre Board, were spotted giving Tweedy a helping hand as he made his way to the new Everyman Education Centre on Grove Street!

With our new home opening its doors this summer, now is the perfect time to lend a helping hand of your own and help us make creative arts accessible for all.

The Everyman Education Centre will:

🎭Give children and young people across Gloucestershire greater access to creativity
🎭Provide inclusive, affordable arts opportunities for people of all ages and abilities
🎭Create a welcoming space for everyone in our community
