We have sports, pasta pots and crafts too. See you at 9am.

🎉 BRIZEN YOUTH CLUB – NEW SESSION TIMES FOR 2026/27! 🎉

As we head into a new academic year, we're excited to confirm our new Brizen Youth Club sessions!

From September, our weekly sessions will be:

🟢 Monday | Ages 11–14
⏰ 5:30pm–7:30pm

🔵 Friday | Ages 8–11
⏰ 5:00pm–6:30pm

🟠 Friday | Ages 14–17
⏰ 6:30pm–8:00pm

📍 Brizen Young People's Centre, Up Hatherley Way, Cheltenham, GL51 4BB

Sessions cost just £2 per young person, per week. Young people may also wish to bring a little extra money if they would like to use our tuck shop.

Our sessions are about giving young people a safe, welcoming space to spend time with friends, meet new people and get involved in activities including:

🎮 Gaming and Nintendo Switch
🎨 Arts, crafts and creative activities
⚽ Sports and outdoor games
🎱 Pool and table games
🍳 Cooking and food activities
🎵 Music and quizzes
🏆 Competitions and challenges
💬 Advice and support
🎉 Themed evenings and special events

And, of course, there is always plenty of time to simply hang out with friends and enjoy being at youth club.

Our qualified and experienced youth work team will be on hand throughout each session to provide support, listen and create opportunities shaped by the young people themselves.

We can't wait to welcome everyone back for another year at Brizen! 💚

Another Monday done and dusted. Today we had chocolate pinwheels, pancakes, fruit salad ( kindly donated by Tesco), bean toasties and brownies. We tried out the new basketball game, once we managed to make it 🤣, football, tye die, bracelets, gaming, loom bands and badminton. We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday for cheesecake making. Wow, it was another hot day on Friday. Lots of crafts, structure building, sports and water fight.

This week we have tie dye, cheesecake making and silent disco alongside crafts, sports, biscuit decorating and pot making. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Happy Friday, its going to be another hot day. Just a reminder to bring water bottles, sun cream and hats. We are going to end the session with a water fight, so a change of clothes maybe required.

🏕️ WOULD YOUR YOUNG PERSON LOVE A WEEKEND AWAY? 🏕️

We’re exploring the possibility of organising a weekend residential at Cranham Scout Centre for young people aged 13 and under – and we’d like to find out how much interest there would be from local families.

The residential would run from Friday early evening through to Sunday mid-afternoon and, subject to a successful funding application, would cost families just £20 per young person for the whole weekend.

We’re hoping to pack plenty into the weekend, including:

🏹 Archery or air rifle shooting
🧗 Caving
🔥 Fire lighting
🥾 A walk and outdoor activities
⚽ Sports and games
🎨 Arts and crafts
🪩 Saturday night disco
🌲 Plenty of opportunities to make friends, have fun, try something new and build confidence and independence!

At this stage, this is just a straw poll and not a booking form. The residential will only be able to go ahead if our funding application is successful and there is sufficient interest from families.

Your responses will help us demonstrate demand for the residential and understand which potential weekend(s) would work best.

Today we had a visit from Cheltenham Animal Shelter. We learnt about caring for animals, how to approach a dog and about there work at the Shelter. We enjoyed a apple crumble, biscuit making, crafts and sports.
