We were delighted to support through our Freemasons Programme Every Cloud Play & Creative Arts Therapy.

💜 We love that the packs are individually curated to provide tools to help calm disadvantaged children and young people when they are feeling unsettled 💜

We would like to say a huge thank you to the Gloucestershire Freemasons for their generous grant.

Thanks to their support, we have been able to provide Cloud to Calm kits to the children and young people we work with. These fantastic kits offer a range of items to aid a sense of calm and regulation outside the therapy room.

Thank you Gloucestershire Community Foundation for supporting children and young people in our community 😊☁️

We're delighted to support Step Together Volunteering and your youth justice work in South Gloucestershire, coaching and supporting NEET young people aged 16-25 at risk of offending.

A huge thank you to the Gloucestershire Community Foundation's High Sheriff Grant Programme for awarding us this recent funding 💚

This support will make a real difference in helping us expand our Youth Justice project and reach more young people across South Gloucestershire.

Through 1-1 support and community volunteering placements, we help young people who have been in contact, or are at risk of being in contact with the criminal justice system, to build confidence, develop skills, and create meaningful connections so they can look forward to a brighter future.

For many, this opportunity can make a huge difference to their lives, and we’re excited to continue growing our impact in the community 🌿

Exciting times for local philanthropy as the Department for Culture, Media and Sport launches its ‘Our place to give’ plan.

This is an ambitious plan to connect philanthropists with communities, to grow a culture of giving that is rooted in communities and shaped by local knowledge.

At Gloucestershire Community Foundation we are experts in place-based giving and philanthropy, understanding that place-based philanthropy is a uniquely valuable and rewarding way to impact local priorities.

Supporting communities through place‑based giving is about addressing today’s challenges and nurturing the confidence and connection that allow places across the UK to flourish for generations to come.

This governmental focus reinforces the importance of the work we do in Gloucestershire to bring people, resources and opportunities together for the benefit of our shared community.

If you are keen to understand how you can support us please contact our CEO, Talitha Nelson MBA who will be happy to discuss your philanthropic aims.

We are delighted to welcome Faye Hennessy to GCF as our new Grants Manager!

👏 Faye is an experienced social & impact investor and we are so excited for Gloucestershire Community Foundation and our county, that she offers us her great insight and experienced in funding and resourcing charities. Do connect with her, as she cant wait to make a start next week.

👏 Faye has over 25 years of experience supporting organisations to obtain the finance they need to achieve their aspirations.

👏 Throughout her early career Faye supported small to medium sized corporates within the South West to progress successful finance applications, enabling growth and sustaining cashflow. More recently Faye has worked exclusively with charitable organisations across South Wales and the Midlands, to unlock finance and grow reserves.

👏 ‘After nearly twenty years working for a major blue chip organisation, I moved from the for-profit sector to the charitable sector with a determination to use my corporate skills for-good. I had the great fortune to gain a position with Charities Aid Foundation within CAF Bank, where I was privileged to work with a wide variety of voluntary organisations, improving sustainability and financing growth.

💗 At Charities Aid Foundation, I gained an in-depth understanding of the voluntary sector, what it takes to keep the wheels moving and how essential it is to the fabric of our society. My key takeaway is that our charities are not a nice to have, they are the fundamental glue that holds our communities together, with grass roots charities particularly, playing a vital role in engaging those most hard to reach.

💗 My role as Grants Manager at Gloucestershire Community Foundation gives me the opportunity to support Gloucestershire’s charities to do what they do best and be part of securing the future of our shared communities. My corporate background also gives me an understanding of the amazing business community in Gloucestershire, how they can support us in this mission and why this is also such a valuable part of their long-term sustainability.’
