The role is unique for Gloucestershire and is your chance to be part of this transformational programme; bringing all sectors together and building sustainability and growth for the future of our County.

The High Sheriff of Gloucestershire Grants Programme Round 2 is now open.

The grant programme aims to encourage young people at risk of becoming involved with crime to be involved in challenging activities that build confidence, provide opportunities for growth and deter them from criminal and anti-social activities.

A must see event - Cirencester History Festival hosted by Dame Fiona Reynolds, in her new role as High Sheriff of Gloucestershire for 2026-7, with an amazing list of guests; including concert pianist Clare Hammond and the Cheltenham-based Oriel Singers, alongside readings from the Dymock Poets – including Rupert Brooke and Robert Frost – by renowned historian and broadcaster Jonathan Dimbleby.

The event is raising funds for the High Sheriff of Gloucestershire Fund. The High Sheriff grants programme is delivered by Gloucestershire Community Foundation and supports community organisations in the county helping to create safer communities for Gloucestershire’s young people.
