CONGRATULATIONS

In the EBED Sims Pairs, heat held at Newent BC, Roger Eaton and Dave Smith clocked up a 68.83% session locally which when scored across the country was 69.26& and they came 1st out of 216 pairs. Well done.

In the EBU's National Handicapped Pairs, from the Cheltenham heat, Roger Eaton & Cathy Scott cane 8th nationally (of 351) and Chris Haynes & Teresa Walton came 14th. Well done to both.

In the Cheltenham Congress 9-High Pairs, the winners were Pat Barbour & Paul Price, followed by Gillian Carwithen & Nicola Renshaw
In the Cheltenham Congress, Swiss Teams winners were Val Constable, Paul Denning, Patrick Phair & Patrick Shields.
In the Cheltenham Congress, Swiss Pairs winners were Dan McIntosh & Claire Robinson.

GCBA Summer Teams: joint winners Lesley Harrison & Ashok Kwatra, third place Peter Waggett

At the EBU's Summer Meeting in Eastbourne, Dan McIntosh was in the team which won the Brighton Bowl, Alastair Catchpole (with Duncan Thomas) came 10th in the field of 150 pairs in the main event, and Pat Barbour & Paul Price came 7th in the Improvers' Game.
