Gloucestershire Anti Sexism Project - GASP Gloucestershire Anti-Sexism Project (GASP!) is a campaigning organisation. We meet twice a month to discuss, debate and push for change. Come hang out!

We welcome everybody regardless of gender, age, nationality, religion or sexuality. We are Gloucestershire Anti-Sexism Project (GASP)! We:
Meet to discuss and debate on feminist/gender issues
Identify issues in Gloucestershire that promote/defend gender inequality
Get involved in activism locally and nationally to push for positive change and better lives for all genders. Organise events to promote and defend our right to live in equality regardless of gender.

In case anyone wanted to object to Voodoo becoming Diamond Gentlemen's club, I received this email from the council.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I write in connection with the application for a Sexual Entertainment Venue licence for Diamond Gentlemen's Club, 12 - 14 Bath Road.

Offer of a Meeting

Since the Council is prohibited from revealing names and address to the applicant, the applicant has asked the Council to invite objectors to a meeting at Voodoo on the 22nd January at 5pm to discuss the application and answer any questions.

Advance Notice of Hearing

Please also note that the committee hearing to determine the application will be held on Friday, 7th February 2014, 1.00 pm in the Council Chamber, Municipal Offices.

The report will be published next week and will be available on the Council's website athttps://democracy.cheltenham.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=162&MId=2107&Ver=4.

We will write to all objectors again early next week with more information.

Apologies all but i'm having to put GASP things on hold for a bit at the moment. I'm extremely busy/stressed out and am having to put volunteering on the back burner.
I'm so sorry that the last few meetings have been cancelled but I just need to get my life back to a routine before taking on more work!
If anyone else would like to arrange the meetings, I am more than happy to make you an admin here and to send you all the info. I will also upload the zine electronically for you to edit online if you want to.
If not, I will get back to it in a month or so if that's ok with everyone. Thank you all for being amazing.

UPDATE!
Unfortunately, tonight's meeting has now been cancelled; mainly due to printing/rooms/illness.
