Welcome to Community Coworking at Common Ground Cheltenham — a welcoming, inclusive, and safe space for everyone.

This is where good ideas grow, conversations spark, and coffee keeps everything moving. Join a vibrant community of creators, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and remote workers, all sharing a space designed for comfort, connection, and inspiration.

With Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, and a friendly atmosphere, Common Ground is the perfect place to work away from home. Whether Friday is your WFH day, your casual Friday, or your kitchen table just isn’t cutting it anymore, we’ve got you.

Community coworking is about more than just getting the job done — it is also about connection. Our space is shared, so you can expect other people to be around, and if you are sitting at the large table or on the sofa, others are very welcome to join you :-)

We are fully accessible, with plenty of parking available. You can reach us easily on Bus A, just a 5-minute walk from Coronation Square. It is around a 30-minute walk from town, and if you prefer to cycle, we have a bike rack too.

And if you’re only just discovering us, here’s something important to know: Common Ground Cheltenham is powered by Mission Inclusion CIC, a not-for-profit Community Interest Company. This means that any money generated through our café and community space is reinvested into community projects and the ongoing renovation of the building. So when you choose to work from Common Ground, you’re not just using the space — you’re helping build a stronger community😊

What is it that you wish for most this holiday season?
That’s exactly what we wish for you.

Whether it’s peace, quiet, and a moment to breathe,
or the joyful chaos of being surrounded by the people you love most.

You know best☺️

Sending warm wishes, Common Ground Team

As we head into the Easter weekend, please take a moment to check our holiday opening hours before visiting.

It would be lovely to see you at some point over the weekend for a coffee, a chat, or simply to spend some time together at Common Ground

But if we don’t see you, we wish you a wonderful Easter, a relaxing Bank Holiday weekend, or a joyful time however you are celebrating.

Take care, enjoy the long weekend, and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Starting this Friday Common Ground Cafe will be open three days a week:

Friday & Saturday: 9:00 – 16:00
Sunday: 10:00 – 14:00

On Fridays we will also be trialling Community Co-working. If you work from home but your kitchen table is too small or the neighbours are a little too loud, we’ve got you covered. Come and work from a relaxed, welcoming space while enjoying good coffee and community.

We kindly ask for a small contribution towards WiFi costs and that you order at least one drink and a cake or bun while you work.

Please note:
We are a not-for-profit Community Interest Company. Any profit made through the café goes directly towards covering the core costs and further refurbishment of the building so we can continue creating a welcoming space for the whole community

On 22 March we’re hosting an all-day meditation sessions with one of the best practitioners we know Jaine - The Resilience Guide

She’s a Reiki practitioner, artist, writer and resilience coach who works with people going through trauma and challenging life moments. In other words, she’s someone who really understands humans.

Reiki is gentle, calming and surprisingly powerful. People often leave sessions feeling lighter, more relaxed, and a bit more like themselves again.

If life has been a lot lately (and let’s be honest… it has for most of us), this might be a good excuse to pause, breathe and let someone else do the energetic heavy lifting for a change.

Sessions will run throughout the day and spaces are limited, so please book in advance 👇👇👇👇

Hi everyone 😊

Do we have anyone in our community who makes vegan and gluten-free cakes?

We are looking for recommendations or local bakers who offer custom cakes. Please comment below or email us directly [email protected]

Thank you so much

Community, we did it !

Another big milestone for Common Ground — we’ve secured a CIL grant from Cheltenham Borough Council to help us continue much-needed repairs and improvements to our space!

This wouldn’t have happened without your ongoing support, belief, and community spirit. Thank you for standing with us and helping bring this vision to life.

And huge congratulations to all the brilliant Cheltenham projects who also received funding — it’s fantastic to see real investment going into grassroots work that strengthens our local communities. We’re in great company and can’t wait to see the impact we all make.
