The Avoider Gremlin is often a trauma response.
When hard things didn’t feel safe
When speaking up led to shutdowns

The Sleep Gremlin

The Sleep Gremlin waits until bedtime to make itself heard.
It whispers:
“Did you do enough today?”
“What if tomorrow goes wrong?”
“Remember when you got it wrong before?”

It’s not trying to punish you. It’s trying to keep you alert, even when you don’t need to be.
But instead of protecting you, it leaves you drained.

One way to quiet the Sleep Gremlin is to create a short wind-down routine. Switching off screens, dimming the lights, or writing down tomorrow’s to-do list can help your mind let go of its grip and allow your body to rest.
