2322 - Dowty Squadron ATC

Recently the Officer Commanding of 2322 Sqn took part in the Longest Day operations at 622 Volunteer Gliding Squadron, as part of a secondary role.

Despite many challenges, he supported the VGS with getting 109 cadets airborne over a number of hours, with many of the cadets experiencing their first flight through this.

The 3am alarm was not very welcome...

Last week, our cadets teamed up with 125 Cheltenham Sqn volunteering at the Cheltenham Running Festival to support the bag drop tent and the finishing funnel.The team demonstrated excellent discipline, teamwork, and commitment to supporting our local community.

Thank you to all the cadets and staff who gave up their time to support.

🎉 Huge congratulations to three of our cadets who have just earned their Blue Radio Badge!

The first step in our Communications syllabus, passing this course qualifies them as basic radio operators and opens the door to the Bronze Radio course and beyond.

💻 - Gold Cyber Success!

Recently, our Adjutant supported the May Cadet Cyber Specialist Course. This was held at No1 Radio School, the home of the RAF Cyberspace profession, at . All the cadets successfully graduated and earned their Gold Cyberspace badges.

The course introduces cadets to both theoretical and practical cyber skills, providing a great foundation for those who want to progress onto military or civilian careers in Cyberspace.

Tonight cadets from 2322 Sqn were lucky enough to visit Cheltenham West Fire Station. They got shown around the station, the fire trucks and even learnt how to do 'The BA Shuffle'!
