2322 cadets on tour!

As we get into the summer holidays, we have a couple of our cadets going away to spend time on RAF bases. Recently, one of our cadets got the opportunity to visit RAF Valley with cadets from across Bristol & Gloucestershire wing, and we asked them to describe their time.

"Going to RAF valley was an experience of a life time, to get up and close with aircrafts like the Hawk T2 and Texan T1 was amazing. Meeting the new generation of fighter pilots was also very cool and it was interesting to listen about there journeys and how they have got where they are today. Also, I have made so many new friends and met so many great people which i didn’t think would happen not knowing anyone there. My favourite bit of the camp had to be visiting No.72 SQN (Texan) getting a tour of the building and even managing to get a patch from one of the pilots. As well as being lucky enough to see a small airshow performed by 3 Hawk T2 Jets flying over the officers mess while personnel paraded below. With that being my first air cadet camp, I can pretty confidently say that I would do it again, and will 100% be putting my name down for the next camp. I’m very grateful for the opportunity i got given. "

Does this sound like an interesting opportunity? 2322 is currently looking for the next generation of air cadets to join us in September. If you are or know someone in year 8 and 12 years old who would be interested, get in contact with [email protected].

Today, cadets from 2322 joined 181 and other squadrons from across the sector for a visit to RAF Brize Norton for a view into a working RAF station. It was a great opportunity for the cadets to understand what different parts of the RAF do, as well as get a chance to get up close with an A400M. We thank the staff at RAF Brize Norton and the units for giving some of their time to speak to our cadets.
