Dear Lilac,
For the lessons that you teach us everyday, thank you.
For defying the odds over and over again, thank you.
You would not be where you are today without enough balls to want to prove the doubters wrong every time they dare to use the word ‘can’t’ or ‘won’t’.
For smiling your way through it all, thank you.
Our journey is not always straight forward, but it is a privilege to be on it with you. Through your smile radiates the will to smash through that glass ceiling, over and over again.
Always, always shine my girl.
For the world that Cerebral Palsy has made us apart of, thank you. For the army of warriors that OWN Cerebral Palsy and will never let it own them, the future is safe because of superheroes like you.
And…THANK YOU. To everyone that has supported Lilac and her (not so little) legs over the years and believed in our girls potential, THANK YOU. It has taken more hours of therapy that I would dare to count to get Lilac to where she is today (and a lifetime to go…!!!)
To the incredible team that Lilac is blessed to have in her corner, thank you! I know I am not always the easiest Mama to deal with, but I believe so fiercely in my child that I promise it’s just passion!
