Last Saturday we replanted the War Memorial with winter bedding and took the opportunity to smarten the area up in preparation for Armistice Day. Thanks to the volunteers for their efforts and to Michelle Kirby for the photos giving us a record of our efforts. The planting should bring colour to the area for some months to come for the enjoyment of all who pass.

Our Charlton Kings in Bloom trip to Coton Manor last Saturday, 28th June was a huge success and we would like to thank everyone who came along with us. John Coates and Sue Albone clearly aren't camera shy and found time to pose for Susan Wilkinson whilst admiring all the beautiful and unusual plants.

Our trip to Coton Manor on Saturday 28th June, still has some availability. Why not come along and join the keen gardeners and garden enthusiasts already booked in for the trip.

Coton Manor has won 'The Nation’s Favourite Garden' as voted by garden visitors in conjunction with The English Garden magazine and NGS. It is a beautifully maintained ten acre garden of exceptional charm. The Stableyard Cafe serves homemade lunches and teas and the extensive nursery has over a thousand varieties of plants, many of which are unusual and are propagated from the garden.
It will also be an opportunity to talk plants and gardens with like minded people. Don't miss out on this one

We are so glad that everyone who went on our trip this year enjoyed the day out. When people take the time and trouble to write thank you notes like the one below it was clearly a delightful day and the hard work in organising it worthwhile and appreciated.
