⚽ Keep Up The Convo πŸ’¬

Play Safe is encouraging every adult in football to keep the conversation going with children and young people β€” not just during Play Safe Weekend, but throughout the whole season.

Whether it’s chatting about football, school, friendships, how they’re feeling or what’s happening in their lives, making time for everyday conversations can make a big difference.

When talking about the things that matter becomes normal, children and young people can feel more comfortable speaking up when something really matters.

At Cheltenham Town Community Trust, we believe football is about so much more than what happens on the pitch. It’s about creating safe spaces where children and young people feel listened to, supported and able to be themselves. ❀️

So, this season, keep up the convo.

πŸ—£οΈ Have your say about health and wellbeing in our local community

What would help you become more active and improve your health and wellbeing?

Cheltenham Town Community Trust is exploring opportunities to develop new health and wellbeing support for adults across our local community and we want to hear from you.

We’re looking to understand:
⚽ What helps or prevents people from being physically active
πŸ’¬ What support people would find useful
❀️ What could help improve health and wellbeing
πŸ™Œ What would make it easier for people to get involved

The proposed programme could use football and community based physical activity to help adults become more active, improve their wellbeing and overcome some of the barriers that can make being active difficult.

Whether you’re already active, would like to do more, have health challenges or simply have an opinion to share, we want to hear from you.

πŸ“‹ The survey takes just around 2 minutes to complete.

πŸ‘‰ Have your say: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/3H6be668Wd

The survey is open to adults aged 18 and over and your feedback will help us better understand local needs and shape our plans as we explore future investment in health and wellbeing.

πŸ“£ Please also share this with friends, family and others living in Cheltenham and the surrounding area.

πŸ“Š Cheltenham Town Community Trust are inviting local people to share their views as it explores opportunities to develop new health and wellbeing support within the community!

Yesterday, our Level 3 Sports Studies students were joined by Cheltenham Town Football Club first team player George Miller ⚽

As part of their Sports Injuries module, the students have been learning about the causes, treatment and rehabilitation of sporting injuries. George was able to give them a first hand insight into his own experience of recovering from a knee injury.

George shared what his rehabilitation has involved, the challenges he has faced along the way and the feelings and emotions that can come with being injured as a professional footballer.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to connect what they are learning in the classroom with a real life experience from the professional game.

A big thank you to George for taking the time to speak with our students and share his experience!
