โญ Help Us Help Others โญ

Here are three meaningful ways you can support the work of Springbank Community Group CiC right now โ€” each one directly helping us continue to support children, young people and families across Cheltenham.

๐Ÿ’› Peace Camp 2026
We are fundraising to bring our next international youth exchange to Cheltenham in 2026. Peace Camp gives young people the opportunity to build confidence, develop leadership skills and form lasting international friendships, while promoting understanding, tolerance and global citizenship.

๐Ÿƒ London Marathon 2026
Frank is taking on the London Marathon in support of our work. Every mile run helps fund vital youth work, community support and life-changing opportunities for local young people.

๐Ÿฝ Bankuet โ€“ help us put food on tables
By making a one-off or regular donation through Bankuet, you are helping us purchase food at wholesale prices for our Community Food Pantry. This means your support goes further, allowing us to provide more essential items to local families facing food insecurity.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Donate via Bankuet: https://www.bankuet.co.uk/springbank

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference here in Cheltenham. Thank you for your continued kindness and support ๐Ÿ’›

โœจ๐ŸŽ Springbank Community Group Christmas Present Drive 2025 ๐ŸŽ„โœจ

This year, weโ€™re proud to launch our first ever Christmas Present Drive โ€” a new community initiative to make sure that no child in Cheltenham goes without a gift this Christmas. โค๏ธ

Weโ€™re collecting new toys, books, games, and gifts for children and young people of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers. Every donation, big or small, will help bring a smile to a local child and remind families that their community truly cares.

With so many families feeling the pressure of rising costs, this simple act of giving can make a huge difference. Through the generosity of our supporters, we hope to spread warmth, kindness, and joy to homes across Cheltenham this festive season. ๐Ÿ’ซ

๐Ÿ“ฆ How you can help:

๐Ÿงธ Donate a new, unwrapped toy, book, or game suitable for any age
๐Ÿ“š Drop off donations at the Springbank Community Group, Ron Smith Pavilion, GL51 0LH, Monday - Friday between 8am and 2pm
๐Ÿ’Œ Prefer to donate money instead? Weโ€™ll make sure your contribution goes directly towards buying gifts for local children - please message us if this is your preferred option for details.

Together, we can make this first year of our Christmas Present Drive truly magical โ€” and ensure that every child in our community feels the joy of Christmas morning. ๐Ÿ’•

17/11/2025

It is with great sadness that we share the tragic news that Paul Jones, deputy chief executive and section 151 officer for Cheltenham Borough Council, has passed away.

Paul has worked for Cheltenham Borough Council for over three decades, taking on the role of deputy chief executive in 2024. Paul also volunteered as chair of governors for Gardners Lane and Oakwood Federation, a role in which he took immense pride.

Councillor Rowena Hay, leader of Cheltenham Borough Council, said: โ€œPaul has made an incredible impact on both the council and the town as a whole. Not only that, but he has also been a supportive colleague and friend to many. We will miss him greatly and our thoughts and unwavering support are with Paulโ€™s family.โ€

๐Ÿšง Shelves in Action! ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

Huge shoutout to Colin and Lyam for giving up their Saturday to help future-proof our Community Pantry Store! Using donated materials, theyโ€™ve already put up some fantastic new shelves โ€“ and itโ€™s only the beginning! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Butโ€ฆ weโ€™ve run out of wood! ๐Ÿ˜…
If you work at a buildersโ€™ merchants or timber yard and could donate some 2x2 lengths or shelving boards, weโ€™d be over the moon! ๐ŸŒ™โœจ

Letโ€™s keep building a pantry that supports Cheltenham families with dignity and community spirit. ๐Ÿ’š
Drop us a message if you can help!

๐ŸŒŸ Reverse Advent Calendar 2025 ๐ŸŒŸ

Christmas can be a really tough time for many families, especially when money is tight. This year, weโ€™re inviting our wonderful community to get involved in our Reverse Advent Calendar and help spread a little extra kindness this festive season. ๐ŸŽ„โœจ

Hereโ€™s how it works:
๐Ÿ‘‰ Throughout November, collect one item each day (see the list on our poster) and pop it in a box.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Once youโ€™ve completed the list, bring it along to us at the Ron Smith Pavilion, Springbank Way, GL51 0LH from December 1st.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Weโ€™ll make sure your donations reach local families who need it most. โค๏ธ

๐ŸŽ To make it even more fun, the first three boxes with 25+ items delivered will be rewarded with a free coffee & cake in our community cafรฉ!

Please note: no nuts or alcohol.

Letโ€™s pull together, as we always do in Springbank, and make Christmas brighter for those who might be struggling. โœจ
