🌿🐝 EXPERT-LED NATURE WALK — HONEYBOURNE LINE, CHELTENHAM! 🐝🌿

We’re really excited to have the opportunity to offer a special expert-led nature experience along the Honeybourne Line in Cheltenham on 5th September, 1pm–3:15pm! 🌱🌼

Come and discover the amazing flora around us, learn about responsible harvesting, and then get creative with the natural materials we gather.

🌿 1:00pm–2:00pm — Responsible Harvest Flora Walk
Explore the Honeybourne Line with expert guidance and learn how we can responsibly appreciate and harvest from nature.

🎨 2:15pm–3:15pm — Creative Nature Session
We'll head to the Everyman Education Centre, Grove Street, for a creative session using some of the natural objects gathered during the walk.

⚠️ ONLY 10 SPACES AVAILABLE!

🐝 The Next Phase of Please the Bees 🌻

We’re now thinking about the next phase of our project down the Honeybourne Line in Cheltenham and we’d love to hear what you think! 🌿🐝

Our current idea is to create a beautiful terraced seating area, with suitable steps leading down to a stunning hand-carved wooden bench, with a beehive positioned on either side. 🪵🐝🐝

We want to create somewhere special where our community can sit, relax, enjoy the bees, learn about pollinators and connect with nature. 🌼

But this is YOUR community space too…

What would you do? What would you like to see there?

Would you add more planting?
A bee-themed sculpture? 🐝
Information boards?
A children's learning area?
A wildlife habitat?
Something completely different?

We’re open to ideas — and if someone comes up with a better idea than ours, we’ll go with it! ❤️

The aim is to create something beautiful, accessible and inspiring that the whole community can enjoy, while helping people understand just how important bees and other pollinators are to our environment and food security.

So come on, Cheltenham… put your thinking caps on! 🧠🐝

We're looking for a generous donation of a tree trunk from a tree that has had to be felled for any reason.

Rather than seeing it go to waste, Please the bees we'd love to give it a new purpose by transforming it into a beautiful hand-carved seating area for the community at the Honey Plot, along the Honeybourne Line in Cheltenham.

This unique piece will provide a place for people to sit, relax, and connect with nature while learning about the importance of bees and pollinators.

If you're a tree surgeon, landowner, or know of a suitable tree that's due to be removed, we'd love to hear from you. By repurposing the timber, we can create something lasting for both people and wildlife.

Please get in touch if you think you can help, and feel free to share this post with others who may be able to support the project. 🐝🌳

We've been a little quiet lately, but don't worry—we've been busy behind the scenes working on some exciting plans! 💛

We're now looking for recommendations for talented wood carvers and chainsaw artists who could help create something really special for our community project here in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

I already have someone in mind who crafted my beautiful bench, but we'd like to explore a few options to make sure we get the best value for our community.

Our vision is to create a natural seating area at The Honey Plot along the Honeybourne Line, giving people a peaceful place to sit, relax, connect with nature, and enjoy the space around our bees. 🐝🌼

If you know a local artist, wood sculptor, or craftsperson who would be interested in working with us—or if that's you—please tag them in the comments or send us a message.
