Today we were invited to Woodland House at . A beautiful, purpose-built bereavement centre created for families experiencing pregnancy and baby loss.

It was incredibly special to see the space in person, meet some of the amazing people behind it, and spend time with the charities, fundraisers and individuals helping to support bereaved families through the hardest moments imaginable.

We’ve only recently started sending our Holding Hearts and books to Birmingham Women’s Hospital, so it meant a lot to be invited to visit and learn more about the incredible work taking place there.

Woodland House opened in 2024 and is described by the hospital as the first of its kind in a UK hospital setting. A calm, private space away from the busy wards where families can be supported with dignity, compassion and care.

Thank you so much for having us 🤍

How much do we spend on books in a year? 📚

In the last 12 months alone, we’ve spent nearly £2,800 on books.
That’s around 400 books placed into hospital units for families navigating the unimaginable.

And this is only going to grow.
Since January, we’ve added 4 new hospital units, so over the next year this number will rise even further.

Alongside books, our handmade hearts cost £1.80 each; and we order hundreds every single month.

Every fundraiser, every donation, every bit of support genuinely keeps this charity moving.
It’s what allows us to say yes to more hospitals, and yes to more families who need support in their darkest moments.

We’re endlessly grateful to everyone who helps us keep going!

Thank you for being part of this.

Even the smallest hands can make a big contribution!

This charity doesn’t run on big offices or corporate teams.
It runs on kitchen tables, spare time… and little helping hands.

Sammy had made 550 hearts, which meant there was a lot of sorting to do. Her nieces jumped in and helped organise every single one into bags of 50, ready to be sent out to hospitals. Sitting together, chatting, counting, helping. Families showing up for other families.

This is what we mean when we say every little helps.
The smallest contribution really does make the biggest difference.

From making, to sorting, to sending. It all matters.
And it all adds up.

We’re thrilled to now be supporting families at Northwick Park Hospital with our hearts and books.

This month we’ve added four new hospitals and units and the response from healthcare workers, bereavement midwives and nurse practitioners has honestly blown us away.

Thank you for sharing London North West Healthcare Charity ❤️

We are beyond proud to share that we’ve been chosen as
Captains’ Charity of the Year 2026 ⛳️

For a small charity like ours, this is huge. The funds raised will help us continue to make sure every hospital we support is always stocked with hearts - so every baby is remembered and represented, no matter the circumstances.

This partnership will not only help us financially, but will raise vital awareness of the work we do and the families we support. The impact of that is truly incredible, and we’re so thankful to be part of it.

Here’s to a year of working together and making a difference 💛

(I suppose I should probably learn how to swing a golf club now… 🏌️‍♀️)

Today I want to talk about something that feels small, but carries so much meaning.

Our scan cards.

These are given out in EPAU so that every patient leaves with a place for their scan photo. Whether they’ve had good news or bad, everyone receives the same card.

That matters more than people realise.

When we went through our first miscarriage, my Husband and I came out of the ultrasound room having just been told there was no heartbeat. We sat down in the waiting area in complete shock. We didn’t even speak. We just sat side by side, trying to process what had just happened.

Opposite us was a lady holding her scan photo, taking pictures of it to send to her mum. They were smiling and laughing and talking about the baby in the photo.

We just sat there, silently, trying to hold ourselves together. It felt like a small torture. We were desperately trying not to cry in public, trying not to fall apart in a room full of strangers and hoping the nurse would call us in quickly for our follow up.

The scan cards exist to protect dignity and privacy. Nobody knows whether you’ve had good news or heartbreaking news when you walk out of that room. Everyone is treated the same and nobody feels exposed in their grief.

They also give families a safe place to keep their scan photo, even if they’re not ready to look at it yet.

And for those who receive good news, it becomes a beautiful little keepsake.

At the moment only a handful of our hospitals receive scan cards, but it’s something we would love to roll out to many more when funds allow.

Because dignity, kindness and compassion should be part of every single appointment.

Four miscarriages can break you.
Or they can build something you never imagined possible.

Holding Hearts was born from our darkest days.
From walking out of hospital empty handed.
From feeling invisible, unheard and completely shattered.
From promising ourselves that no other family should ever feel that alone.

Some days it’s exhausting.
Some days the demand feels overwhelming.
Some days the weight of it all feels heavy.

But baby loss happens every single day, everywhere.
And every family deserves comfort, compassion and to know their baby mattered.

So we keep going.
We keep packing hearts.
We keep showing up.
We keep turning pain into purpose.

Because this heartbreak had to mean something.
And this charity is our way of making sure it does 🤍
